March 28th, X-Files Seasons 4, 5, & 6 will be release with teh same features (different packaging) for a MSRP of $49.99

If you already own all 9 seasons, do you really want to invest the money to re-buy them all just for a few extra features and a tiny bit of shelf space? For a 7-disc set, I think the packaging for each season is pretty small already.

Well, I didn't own all, but most of the seasons of Buffy. I was able to sell/eBay all of the sets that I did have for more than I paid for the boxset, combined with great packaging, extra features, and a great price per season. Totally worth it for me.

You may be right, I may not be able to save much shelf space, but extra features and a complete boxset a la Buffy would be worth it to sell the sets that I have.

Well 1-3 in Jan and 4-6 in Mar...

...so 7-9 in June? I'm going to wait for them all to be out in ThinPaks before I buy these sets.

Mine are already on ebay awaiting the complete box set release at a much lower price, and barring that, the lower msrp and smaller form factor.

I've already sold several seasons for 59.99, and considering I bought them all used for 34.99-59.99, I'm not going to lose any money.

I'll wait for the complete X-file set... I llike the Buffy Chosen One box set, nice set! Addtional disc looks cheap though, but the packaging is awesome. Less shelf space and a collector book (CD size).

I really like that they are finally lowering the price on these sets. But now the hard decision, pick them up at the lower price or wait and see if a complete set comes out. I would love a complete set!

It would be great if they use double-slim paks for these sets. (Like Tru Calling S1.)

I already own Seasons 1-3 and 5-7, leaving me just 4, 8 & 9 to get.

Don't think I'm going to bother waiting around for the lower prices and change in packaging tho'. What with Christmas coming up, the wife knows I'd like them and since they can be bought at a decent price if you shop around, I'd rather have the complete set that way.

This is one of those series I simply refuse to own at anything over $15-20 per season. I loved it, but it was too hit-and-miss.

Hopefully the whole series will be out next year.
