Found this while looking around on Amazon.com (trying to find the difference between European Gigolo's "special edition" and "assume the position edition").
Amazon's listing a release date of 3/14/06, but no details whatsoever. I know all of you have been holding out for the inevitable double-dip, so here you go!
Yeah a new release for the old one, which is not really surprising with the arrival of European Gigolo :)

I liked the first Deuce film so I may pick this up, the sequel however was just painful...really, really painful.

I most likely will get this since I don't own the current version.

Interesting. A friend of mine borrowed my original version and I never got it back, so i'd probably pick this up and not worry about getting the other one back. Depending on the specs, that is :)

From dvdactive.com:
Title: Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo
Starring: Rob Schneider
Released: 14th March 2006
SRP: $29.99
Further Details:
Touchstone Home Entertainment has announced a new special edition of Deuce Bigalow Male Gigolo which stars Rob Schneider, William Forsythe and Eddie Griffin. This new 'Little Black Book' edition will be available to own from the 14th March, and should set you back around $29.99 or thereabouts. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extras will include a Making The Deuce documentary, a video diary by director Mike Mitchell, and deleted scenes.
I'm interested since I've never gotten around to buying the current version, but it seems like a high SRP to me.

They choose to rerelease this title before possible 16x9 versions of Scream, Enemy of the State, Ransom, Armageddon, From Dusk Til Dawn, Good Will Hunting, Halloween: H20, and The Waterboy. This is sad.

29.99 seems overpriced for a minimium upgrade of a so-so movie

29.99 is typical msrp. Will probably be under 20 at most retailers.
