I was looking into buying episodes 1-25 of the Berserk series, and I was wondering what would be the versions to get? I've seen that a US company has put them out, I forget the name, but they come in red cases. Has there been other/better releases of this series? Links would be helpful, so I know what to look for :)
Thanks!!!

Media Blasters released Berserk as five individual discs (plus a box with volume 1), and later as a complete box set with the same packaging. They later released a cheaper collection of the same discs in one multi-disc case.

is the only difference between the two sets is how ellaborate the packaging is?

Yes, the discs are the same. But in my opinion, the extra money for the better package is worth it in this case. Bersek is one of my favorite art box and anime.

Berserk is my favorite anime series of all time (so I got the individual releases as they came out), but I think the art box is pretty nifty looking on my shelf, also.

After you finish watching it, you should start reading the manga so you know what happens after the series ends. (If you're new to the series and don't know too much about it that is)

After you're done watching the show are you going to sit, watching the box on your shelf?
I'd rather save the money to use for something else.

If the box sprung legs and started dancing around I'd watch it. Then after a while I'd probably get freaked out and try to kill it.
