Scene it or dvd trivial pursuit?

didn't know if this was the correct forum to post...so if I'm wrong please move to correct area.
which game is the best to get? (more variety of questions..more replay value)
being a dvd collector I have a lot of movies and me and my buddies are always acting out movies and asking where did that come from? So I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy one of these but don't know which to get. Any recommendations?

Yeah I second Scene It as well. It's more focused on just movies whereas TP DVD is still anything and everything under the sun.

Scene It is better because there are expansion packs available.

I like Scene It too, but I wish they would offer all the different versions as expansion packs. One of the flyers had a sale on all versions of the game and there was like 10 different ones. I only know of one expansion, but there may be a kids expansion too. I would buy every version of the expansion packs they made.

I already have the movie and movie expansion pack and just picked upt the TV one at Target today.

I've played the Trivial Pursuit one and it's fun too, but Scene it is more movie specific. Don't forget you can practice the Invisibles from Scene It at filmwise.com

Anyone have an issue with the bonus disc on the the regular Scene It! Deluxe not randomizing? It's the disc with Sci-Fi, Romance, Cops & Robbers, and one more.

Every time I go into Sci-Fi and do a My Play, it's the same one every time!.

I was thinking about getting Scene It as a gift. Is the gist of the game just identifying scenes on the DVD? If that's the case, the gameplay sounds sort of shallow. Can someone give me a quick overview?

I only played it once a while ago, but I don't think the overall gist of it was just identifying scenes. I remember one of the types of minigames i liked was where you'd watch a short 2 minute scene, and then they'd ask you some weird question like "What color pen was he using?"

Seemed to me there were several different little mini games (categories) like that.

It's very varied - there are clips, word games, questions on the DVD, not to mention the cards. I have both the movie and TV versions.

I actually like TP Pop Culture 2 better. We bought both at Target this weekend and had more fun with TP Pop Culture. It has more DVD questions (600, compared with 180 for SIt), and probably just as many movie questions. Granted, no expansion packs, but that's just a way to make more $$$ anyway.

I think they are both good, but I did like TP better.
