Fort Minor - The Rising Tied (2005)
If you're a hip hop fan or a Linkin Park fan, you should pick this album up. For those of you who don't know, it's Mike Shinoda's solo effort, executively produced by Jay-Z. Shinoda does 99 percent of the instrument and mix work and some guest stars include John Legend and Common.
It's a great album.

I picked it up yesterday. I've listened to a few tracks so far and liked what I heard.

Yeah. So far its a pretty good listen. There are some flat out amazing tracks on here (Back Home featuring Common and Styles of Beyond immediately comes to mind).
Suprisingly the music doesn't really have much a Linkin Park flavor to it. Instead, Mike choose to make a more of a hip-hop album.
Some of the other tracks are a little bland, but there is enough quality material here to warrant a purchase for sure.
