Well the Did you start your Christmas shopping yet? (http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=438525) got me thinking...I know I need to do my shopping, but I also need to develop a list of things I want so no one is left thinking of what to get me. This will also be a good way to match up what you actually get vs what you wanted. Come back and edit, change, and add to your list. I expect a lot of placeholder post on this one to start.

Santa Otter for Xmas I want...

Has to be included . . .

If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children of the world join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace.

If I had two wishes I could make this holiday season, the first would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace. And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free, in a Swiss bank account.

You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe.

And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought about slowly by Rosanna Arquette and that model Paulina-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth! So -- we reorganize! Here we go.

First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas.

Well - 2 words. Or maybe a word and a number. But anyway - I want one of these:

Yep, I pre-ordered...;) I got the Xbox 360 Pro Bundle. The thing that kills me is that the price is going to seriously fall in not that long. My husband has to have it now and Iím not gonna ask him to wait. He'd get it for me if I wanted it.

Honestly, I can't think of anything yet. Maybe an xbox 360 but I doubt I'll have time to play it. Maybe some new shoes.

There aren't any fun gadget things out there that are appealing to me... I don't want an iPod, don't need a pda or camera phone... man, I'm getting boring. :(

The last things I got that I was excited about were my new computer, tivo, and a digital camera, and those things are all over a christmas budget around here. What is out there this season in the 100-200 range? I know I'm getting an xbox 360 some day, but I doubt it will be before christmas.

I might just ask for some software upgrades for my computer. Or shoes. I need shoes.

I've been told to come up with my Christmas Wishlist. I'm interested to hear what is on your list. I've started mine only with DVDs so far:

War of the Worlds (2-Disc Limited Edition)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Two-Disc Deluxe Edition)
Alias - The Complete Fourth Season
Gilmore Girls - The Complete Fourth Season
Gilmore Girls - The Complete Fifth Season (released 12/13)
Star Wars Trilogy (Widescreen Edition with Bonus Disc)
Serenity (Widescreen Edition) (2005) (released 12.20)

I'm not sure how far I can go. I mean, my wife wants a treadmill, but I don't see any south of $500 that seem worth a darn...

Post what you have on your Wishlist. Sure, I'd love to hear about your wanting a date with Eva Longoria or World Peace ;), but would also like to hear about your wanting of the pasta maker attachment for your Kitchenaid.

I wrote up a list to give to my girlfriend. It only had DVDs on it also (Land of the Dead, High Tension, Kung Fu Hustle, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Serenity, Sin City: Recut & Extended, *shit, I forgot to add The Island :)).

She complained that I never have anything practical on my list. So I thought hard, and added a Yoda .45 scale MR lightsaber and an 18" Movie Hellboy figure. :)

She then promptly proceeded to cross those two off the list, because there's no way in hell she's going to bother with getting those. What can I say, I hate getting practical stuff for Christmas. ;)

Well, I don't have too many people that buy me gifts for Xmas. My grandparents always just send money so I can get whatever I want, and the only other people that routinely get me gifts are my parents and my wife.

For my mom, I just forwarded her my DDD wishlist during the sale, and all it had on it was the Criterions I'm still currently lacking (about half of them). My wife got together with my mom and ordered a couple other ones from that list, and told me she ordered the King Kong Production Diaries for me as well.

I'm at my parents for Thanksgiving right now, and I saw a rather large box with the DDD label on it in the garage, so I'm excited to see what I got.

After brainstorming for a whopping 90 seconds I asked my mother for an Auburn University sweatshirt. That's all I want. I buy stuff I want for myself throughout the year so I really don't care much about receiving gifts. My wife's b'day is in December and she already bought some inexpensive jewelry for herself and said that would cover both her b'day and Christmas. Yep, super romantic household here!
