I have a Sony Projection TV and I just got the Xbox 360 and there is an option to set it to 480 720p or 1080i just want to know which one is the best

see what your tv can support. The best resolution would be 1080i and then 720p.

Do you have a CRT HDTV or DLP/LCD HDTV?
For CRT set it to 1080i. For a DLP/LCD HDTV set it to 720p.
BTW, 480p is DVD resolution. The other two are HD.
