DAOC Dark Age of Camelot question

hey, i was wonderin, isnt there a free server for DAOC? i heard a couple people talkin about it, but didnt really interfere to find out where and what, kinda left my faith in you all. i play WOW now, but know some people on DAOC and was thinkin of givin it another shot, downloaded it a while back but was less than impressed. anyway, thanks in advance

Suggest you check with Mythic. I did not know the game still existed. I left two years ago after one of their patches left my two accounts unable to log in so I cancelled.

I cancelled a couple years back as well but I keep up to date on what's going on with the game by reading the Camelot Herald (http://www.camelotherald.com). I haven't read anything about a "free" server. They did add 2 servers about 2 months ago that are called "Classic" servers and they are servers minus Trials of Atlantis, which A LOT of people, including myself, thought ruined the game. Even after they added those servers it didn't excite me enough to reactivate my account. DAoC has the best PvP of any MMO I've ever played but it has the worst PvE and crafting system of any MMO out there. Besides after playing WoW for the past year, going back to DAoC would be like playing a game in slow motion. If you decide to reactivate I would get on one of the classic servers...check their web site for more info on which servers those are. Also, pick up the Catacombs expansion. I heard that somewhat lessened the pain of PvE.
