Help, I need 100 copies of the Same dvd.

My uncle need around 100 copies of Mircle On 34th Street DVD to give to his customers. Anyone know a site that will give you a discount if you buy a certain quantity.

DVDEmpire has a $10 off the purchase of $100 coupon. Maybe you can use it several times and get a decent discount. I also think that Borders bookstore has some kind of discount when you buy more than 20 copies of an item. Hope this helps.

Have him call 1-888-223-2FOX, and order 100 copies. All done.

I would call dvdempire and ask if you could get a discount, also call fox as mentioned and maybe digitaleyes or ddd. Someone should be able to help. Worst case, $1299 from dvdempire with free shipping.

I would call a local FYE if you have one. I work for the company and have heard of many cases when a customer wanted a large quanity of one item, and they gave a nice discount. I can't promise it'll be any better than online, but they last guy they did this for got a 30% discount. Might be worth a try.

Try the manager of WalMart, and tell him you won't tell a soul. I'll bet he has more pull to get low prices than even the VP of Fox.

Tell him to come up with a different idea because probably half of his customers already have a copy.

bmello's got a point there. Just about everyone I know has Miracle on 34th Street. Quite a few have both versions in fact. Christmas in Connecticut would probably be a better way to go seeing as how it's just now hitting DVD for the first time.

A Christmas Story, while a great flick and proud to own it, isn't a good one to give away, since it runs repeatedly on TNT the day of Christmas. I got teased mercilessly when I purchased it.

Elf will probably be on sale for the After Thanksgiving sales. THERE's another great Christmas flick that not TOO many folks own. You can probably bounce around and grab multiple copies. That or How the Grinch Stole Christmas, either animated or live-action w/ Jim Carrey. I also second Scrooged.

I dont understand that, I bought Christmas Story because Ill occasionally watch the movie at other times of the year, and all the special features, and the anamorphic picture...

As for Christmas dvds... Ive always liked Christmas Carol (George C Scott version)

Just dont give away that turd of a movie "The Grinch" with Jim Carrey... how I hate that movie

Stick with Miracle on 34th Street. Hey, it's his giveaway.
Besides, it's the only one of everything else mentioned I don't own LOL

Why not do it with Polar Express as it just came out?

This title is part of the 2 for $20 sale Best Buy is doing next week.
I'll list all the Best Buy prices tonight when I get home.

All the 2 for $20 DVD titles are Christmas themed as are there CD's that are on sale.

I also remember 2 National Lampoon Christmas Vacation DVDs as well as both versions of How The Grinch Stole Christmas (live action / animated).

Another vote for A Christmas Story.

Miracle of 35th Street? Is that a good movie? I'll have to pick it up.

The single-disc version is damn near impossible to find. All the local stores in my area sold out before Tuesday night. Also, while a store owner wants to give away something nice to customers, they don't want to go overboard. The liklihood of getting a mass purchase discount on 100 copies of a new movie that's selling out everywhere is slim to none. There's a much better chance of getting a bulk discount on an older film that's not selling as well.

However, I cast my holiday film vote to The Ref.

I would throw some support behind "Love, Actually" except for the fact that there is some not-so-family-friendly stuff in the film. It does a marvelous job capturing the spirit of Christmas IMO.

Have him pass out Cannibal Holocaust.

Trust me, they probably don't have it, and it'll certainly make an impact.

As for your question, just try calling / emailing different online stores. Surely somebody will work with you.

What kind of customers does he have? If he runs a business and has a business liscense and tax ID he should be able to buy from any of the major distributers for wholesale prices.

For instance:

Millions is another good choice. Like The Polar Express and Christmas in Connecticut, it just hit DVD for the first time, so less people are bound to own it. It's a great X-Mas film and one the average person is likely not familiar with. And it's family friendly.
