Well, that's a trick question really. Each major Drac has a fine DVD presentation.

- Nosferatu: Stick with either the Image or Kino
- Dracula (33): you can only pick up the Legacy, which has audio comm., doc, Spanish version, and a 5.1 mix
- Horror of Drucula (58): great video from WB, but no extras
- Dracula (79): Uni did a great transfer
- Dracula (92): stick with Superbit version- DTS!

So its up to your personal prefence of which version of the story you liked best.

thanks. i'm starting to collect classic horror movies on dvd and i just noticed that there were a lot of crappy adaptations of dracula, particularly the more recent ones. thanks again =)

I've always been a fan of the Dan Curtis version of Dracula. It was a 1973 made for TV movie, starring Jack Palance, and with a script written by Richard Matheson.

Unfortunetly, the DVD transfers I've seen of it aren't very good.
