Holy shit, Tully Blanchard is still alive?

Part of me is saying "Holy Crap I want to see this show". The other part of me is thinking "wow that's going to be some over the hill wrestlers stumbling around the ring. Who wants to see that?"

Well Lisa Moretti is still hot for her age, but man most of those guys are way too old to be out there wrestling. I don't know how watchable this event is going to be.

The only thing worse than the age of some of these guys is this link also on the page.

That is just f'ed up.

Rock & Roll Express 2005? Looks like that reconcilliation between Morton & Gibson didn't last very long.

If I had someone to go with, I'd totally go to this show. It's only a couple of hours from me.

Yeah, and either him or Dusty Rhodes will be the World Champion of that promotion after the event. How sad is that....

I can only hope an event like this comes to my local fairgrounds or high school gym.

Are you guys sure Tully Blanchard is REALLY alive?

Dusty is going to bring the CCW belt home unless Boogie Woogie screws him out of it.

I like how they used 25-year-old pictures of everyone. The funny thing is, most of these guys weren't in good shape in the 80's then they were in their prime. I wonder how many rest holds they'll be able to fit in an 8 minute match.

Yeah, they should have used Ricky Morton's pic of him sitting at the end of the bar revelling in his success with the Rock 'N Roll Express.

I was never a fan of the RnR Express. Give me the Midnight Express any day over them. Hell, the Rockers were 10x the team Morton and Gibson were.

The 83-87 Starrcades represent "the good old days" for my wrestling memories but man this is just sad.

Exactly. You could see the definate difference in the product once True Gritt (88) rolled around. I have 86-87 on tape still somewhere, they need to release them on DVD though. Alot of 30-something nostalgist like myself would certainly pick them up.

How right you are!
These mooks should be wrestling for baloney sammiches in some local vets hall !

 What makes this even sadder is the fact that no one will be there to see this event. The entire state of South Carolina will be glued to the tv watching the South Carolina - Clemson football game. The whole state shuts down for that game.

Of course most of the matches will not be good, but nostalgia alone would bring me to see that card if I lived nearby.
