Hi, I was wondering if anyone had seen Half-Life 2 on the shelves yet, more specifically at Gamerush. If someone has found it has anyone played it yet?

I stopped by the GameRush that I preordered HL2 at and they said maybe tommorow, most likely Thursday.

This game is up there with Metroid Prime in my book. I picked up the Xbox version and am hooked. Outstanding. HL2, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil 4 are now my favorite games of this generation. Now back to Half-Life 2.

I have it, have yet to play it though....I figured it was pointless since I cannot transfer saves. I'll wait.

In the little time I've put into it I noticed that as well... would be a lot nicer if they had seamless loading. I'd rather have some kind of cut scene or something happening rather than see a loading bar on the screen.

Pretty good so far though, as I haven't played any HL since the first one many years ago on the PC. It was great when the "guard" dropped the crow bar down to me

I don't have a Gamerush around me unfortunely. But I saw the game at TRU a handful of days ago. Had about 5-6 copies.

I thought there would be more talk about this game. I guess most people played it a year ago when it came out on PC. Still, it's new to me, and it's been the best game experience I've had in awhile. I'm pretty horrible/ stupid at most games, and this one seems to have the right balance for me - somewhat challenging without being overly frustrating. I'm only a few levels into it, but I'm looking forward to some marathon sessions over the Thanksgiving break. As posted above, the load screens can seem a little frequent, but it doesn't take me out of the game too much.

I've been thinking about picking this up. I played through the PC version a year ago. It is a great game. It might be fun to play through again on the big screen and better sound. I was going to get this with my 360 but, I got screwed at Target and didn't get a system. Maybe next week. Fingers crossed.
