Amazon Deals - TV Seasons, A&E shows, etc (merged /w other threads)

Add Season One to your cart, and then add Season Two. Buy both and save $10, so it comes out to $31.94 total, and it ships free with the Super Saver Shipping. Turns out to be a little cheaper than the upcoming sale at Best Buy on that day, plus you don't have to get up at 5am to get it .

Great deal. That is a price point that gets me off the sidelines on this show. I enjoyed it on television when I watched it, but I was not drooling over it like others, maybe I missed something in my half-hearted attempt to view on tv. At this price I will give it a shot. Thanks alot. - Mark a certain store off the list for that day since this is all I wanted there.

Thanks! I'm going to contact them about a price adjustment since I ordered both sets less than 30 days ago.

More Amazon deals--Arrested Development (50+% off), Homicide (63% off), lots more

Some of these prices are better than DDD even with the 20% off:

Fox TV-on-DVD sets up to 50% off

Highlights include both Arrested Development sets for $32 shipped, as well as Wonderfalls and season sets of Futurama, Family Guy, and King of the Hill at 50% off MSRP.

A&E sets up to 63% off

Highlights include all $100 MSRP season sets of Homicide: Life on the Street at $37 each.

This is the worst news I've gotten all day. THese deals are great, and there are some titles I REALLY want (Futurama 3 & 4 and Arrested Development 1 & 2), but there's no way I have the spare cash to spend right now.

Thanks a lot for this heads up. I hope plenty of people enjoy this one.

Those are pretty good deals but I'm tapped out waiting for Black friday and the DDD deal.

I would recommend the Lost Batallion for $10 if you want a great war movie. It's just as good if not better than an episode of Band of Brothers.

Awesome! Thank you!

There's no way I was going to go to BB on Black Friday, but I was really hoping the deal would show up on their web site. But even if we're lucky enough that Best Buy DOES post their BF deals online, I would have been out a little more than I just paid at Amazon (BB charges tax, and shipping if instore pickup isn't available). I'm happy.

By the way, if you scroll down a bit on the product page, there's a one-click button to add both seasons to your cart at once.

Some of these also have additional discounts if you by subsequent seasons, e.g. $!0 off for Arrested Dev 1 & 2, and $3 off Pretender 1 & 2. Not sure of others.

First time I've actually seen discounts for "Buy Together Today".

You're right--there's a lot of these extra discounts.

Remington Steele Seasons 1 and 2 -- $38
King of the Hill Seasons 1 and 2 -- $40 (not sure of other seasons)
X-Files Mythologies Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 -- $40

Wow--well, I had planned to go to Best Buy early for that AD deal. You just saved me a very early morning!

I thought about holding out for a box set (probably next year), but at this price, I can't complain. Thanks!

Any rumors on whether there will be an Angel complete series box set like Buffy? If not, I might have to pick up a few seasons.

Supposedly if BUFFY sells well they're putting out ANGEL and X-FILES boxes. They already have them in other regions, so I don't think it's out of the question.

Looks like someone is trying to compete with DDD.

Same here. I was about to grit my teeth and go to BB for the first time ever on Black Friday, but this is even better. Awesome deal.

Placed my order right before I made the OP, and it's already started the shipping phase . If they go out today, I should have them by Friday.

It's a conspiracy. I was just about to place another order with DDD when I saw this tread. Instead of Alias S4 and GG S3 through DDD I'm going to snag a couple seasons of Angel instead. I'm going to be on the mac & cheese diet for awhile after this week.

Buffy complete came out in the UK in 2004. And it came out in the US in 2005.
Angel complete came out in the UK in 2005...

... I think it's pretty likely we'll see it 12 months from now.
