I'll admit I don't know too much about the national scene this early in the season, but I'm a bit surprised by his assessment of the Pac-10. UCLA does have a lot of young talent, but most preseason observers have them behind Stanford and Arizona at this point. Interesting that he has Arizona all the way down as a 6 seed. They've only been below a 5 seed once since 1988, and I think this team has enough talent to be a top 4 seed come March. The fact that he has Cal making it as an 8 seed and leaves off Oregon surprises me. Oregon has a ton of returning talent in Aaron Brooks, Malik Hairston, Bryce Taylor, and Maarty Leunen. They still lack any inside presence which will be their downfall come tournament time, but I believe they'll make it fairly easily.

Cal's success will depend on how well Leon Powe comes back from his knee injury and how well Richard Midgely bounces back from the slump he entered from having to carry that team too far last season.

I'd love to see UConn in the East Regional. I have tickets for that so I should be able to sell those for a nice profit to UConn fans.

Maryland going west would be business as usual.

Bucknell as a #13 would be nice - I would definitely make the trip to San Diego (with a side trip to Vegas). I missed the games last year. #13 is what they should have been last year, not that it mattered. ;)

I wanna see better (travelling) teams in the west, so i can sell 2 of my 4 tix to cover the seats i am gonna keep. If this pans out, maybe I can make a trade with red dog so he can see Maryland ;)

Good thought but if Bucknell makes the tournament again, then I will be following them no matter where they go. That would likely rule out a long trip the following week, well, unless Bucknell does one better than last year. ;)

The good thing is that all the first round sites are pretty accessible (by air or car), unlike last year where you had Boise and Oklahoma City.

-ohbfrank- Look at all these bandwagon Bucknell fans...couldn't even travel to Oklahoma City.

;)

The Bucknell women's team is playing in a torunament at the Air Force Academy this season. I'm going to try to go to that.

I think OK City is the only place in America that requires 2 stops to get to from DC.
