I really like this Power 25 image from the official site... gives a nice recap of the previous week. Shall we make posting it a regular feature of these weekly threads?

Tonight (Sunday) is a WWE Supershow where they do combined tapings for Raw and Smackdown because WWE is set to go overseas immediately afterwards for a long two week trip.

WWE has decided to make both the Raw and Smackdown tribute shows to Eddie. The usual format for the shows has been changed to incorporate tributes to Eddie. These shows will probably be similar to the Owen Hart Raw tribute show in May 1999.

To save you guys from the PWTorch popups...

This is Raw. I predict these will be very tough shows to get through. However, watching Benoit is going to be the toughest of all. :(

They taped the matches right in order with no openings so it's going to be hard to tell which matches will air where. Nonetheless, the matches will be inserted into both shows.

The show started up with the crowd chanting "Eddie, Eddie." Many fans in the building have signs dedicated to Eddie Guerrero. On the stage, as a tribute to Eddie, they have his car set up. Lilian Garcia opened the show by saying this would be a special tribute show for Eddie Guerrero. There was no pyro, and no special introduction of any of the announcers.

(1) Mr. Ken Kennedy defeated Val Venis in about five minutes. Kennedy got major heel heat for being from Green Bay and playing that up quite a bit while in the midst of Viking Country.

Afterwards, all the wrestlers came out. Chris Benoit was crying from the moment he came out of the curtain, and was perhaps more emotional than anyone. Vince McMahon then said some words about Eddie: "Eddie Guerrero has passed away. Eddie was in the prime of his life, in the prime of his career. Tonight we celebrate the life of Eddie Guerrero. He loved the business. He had a passion like no one else. Whether cheered or booed, he loved to perform for the fans. Eddie Guerrero's goal every night was to steal the show. He would want the show to go on. And so we shall."

They had a 10-bell salute for Eddie, and the crowd was silent for it. After this, they aired a tribute video set to Johnny Cash's rendition of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt." When the video was done, Vince said, "Viva La Raza!" Pretty much everyone was out for this, including Shane McMahon, who was crying as well. The fans chanted "Thank you, Eddie!"

John Cena then had some words about Eddie: "Eddie was a father figure. Eddie was a man of faith, but selfishly, we'll all miss him."

(2) Big Show & Kane defeated MNM in about four minutes. This wasn't technically a squash match, but it was pretty close to it. The finish came on a chokeslam. Before the match, they showed the angle where Eddie sprayed Big Show with raw sewage from a past Smackdown show.

(3) Kurt Angle defeated Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin got a near fall with a wicked looking back suplex off the top rope. Angle was able to kick out of that and apply the anklelock for the submission victory.

After that, they showed a bunch of old Eddie and Chavo comedy skits from over the years. Chavo on the big screen then gave an emotional speech about how Eddie was like a big brother to him. He talked about how much he looked up to Eddie and how much teaming with Eddie meant to him.

It was confirmed that Joey Styles, Jerry Lawler and Jonathan Coachman are doing the commentary for the Raw show. The show is being presented in such a way that there are no angles whatsoever. It's simply matches and video segments.

(4) Rey Mysterio defeated Shawn Michaels in about 10 minutes. Michaels went for the sweet chin music, but Mysterio was able to avoid it. Mysterio then hit the 6-1-9 and dropped the dime to get the pinfall victory. During the pin, Michaels' legs sort of flailed about, but they still counted the pin. After the match, Mysterio and Michaels hugged. It should be noted also that during the course of the match, Mysterio paid tribute to Eddie by doing his little celebratory dance, which was a nice touch.

The announcers (Styles, Lawler, Coach) were shown talking, but the fans live in the arena could not hear what they were saying.

(5) Melina (from MNM) won a diva battle royal. All active divas on the roster, excluding Lita, participated in the battle royal. Maria was said to have done very little during the match, and spent most of her time in it avoiding physical contact.

(6) Eugene defeated Simon Dean. Eugene won it with the Rock Bottom.

They then aired a video of Chris Benoit and Eddie together. Benoit gave a speech about how close he and Eddie were. He broke down during the speech, as this was clearly a very emotional time for Benoit. He said, "Thank you for everything you've given me. I'll never forget you. I love you."

After this, Triple H gave a speech about Eddie. This was an inopportune time for Hunter to give his speech, following Benoit like that. It was said that a skeptic might have questioned Hunter's intentions. Hunter said Eddie was well liked by everyone in the locker room, and that no one had a bad thing to say about him.

(7) Ric Flair defeated William Regal. The finish came when Flair made Regal submit to the figure four leglock. Flair had an Eddie Guerrero arm band on, and played it up for the crowd and got a nice ovation for it.

They then aired clips of Eddie Guerrero and his relationship with Chyna, and things that went on during that time period.

(8) John Cena defeated Randy Orton by disqualification. The finish came when "Cowboy" Bob Orton interfered on his son's behalf. The match was said to have been not very long and not very good.

Overall, the best match of the taping was Rey Mysterio vs. Shawn Michaels, but in general the focus was on Eddie Guerrero, and in no way would that be considered a match of the year candidate. There were no promos (other than the tribute speeches for Eddie) and no angles whatsoever. Just video packages and matches.

From SmackDown!

After a quick set change, they moved Eddie's car to the aisle. It was confirmed that Tazz and Michael Cole were doing commentary for the show.

Batista came out, and said he didn't know if he should be the one to out there at this time. He said, "He'd hate to see me out here crying like a baby. There's two things I know: He loved his family and he loved this business. He found peace in this ring. My one comfort is knowing Eddie is now at peace. He is with God. I miss you, I love you, I will make sure no one ever forgets you."

(1) Matt Hardy defeated Carlito Cool. Hardy won the match with a Twist of Fate. After the match, Hardy hung around Eddie's car for a bit. He did not get as emotional as some of the other wrestlers on this night, though.

Vince McMahon then came out to say some words. He said Eddie loved to perform, and then gave one of his trademark big gulps. He said there was one thing Eddie loved more than wrestling and that was his family. Vince talked about how everyone, all the wrestlers and production people and everything, were his family. He concluded by saying, "Eddie was a good man. A damn good man."

(2) LOD defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. After the match, Big Show gave a speech about Eddie. He said, "My only comfort with losing a friend is knowing that all the pain is gone. He is with God. Now he is safe. I love you, bro." Show broke down during the course of his speech.

(3) Chavo Guerrero defeated JBL. Late in the match, Chavo threw a chair to JBL and took a ghost bump. The referee turned around to find the chair in JBL's hands, and admonished him for it. This got a huge pop from the crowd, who chanted "Eddie!" Chavo hit the three amigos suplexes and the frogsplash to get the victory.

After the match, Chavo thanked the fans. He said Eddie gave his life for the business, for the fans, and for the boys in the back. He said, "I know you all will miss Eddie Guerrero."

(4) Juvi won a cruiserweight battle royal. The competitors included Tajiri, Shane Helms, Paul London, Kid Kash, Brian Kendrick, Scotty 2 Hotty, Nunzio, Funaki, Psicosis, Super Crazy and Juvi. It came down to London and Juvi. London was on Juvi's shoulders, and then both went over the top rope. London hit the floor first, and Juvi managed to keep himself on the ring apron.

(5) Chris Benoit defeated Triple H in about 13 minutes. Benoit finished things off with the top rope headbutt, locked in the crossface, and then managed to leverage Hunter into a pinning combination from the crossface to get the victory. After the match, they hugged and shook hands. Dean Malenko came out, and while he did not say anything, he celebrated with Benoit and held his arm up in victory.

Afterward, Benoit said, "Eddie was a man who walked through every possible valley you can imagine. Eddie was a true inspiration to every life he touched. We'll always love you and miss you." The crowd didn't leave until Benoit's speech was over, as they were very interested in what he was saying.

I wonder if Chavo will get a push from all this. Not saying anyone should be capitalizing off Eddie's death, but as the last wrestling Guerrero he should get a good crowd response and it at least could be something positive for the family.

And he should be a GUERRERO.

Lord knows Vinny has dropped past "storylines" with a quickness [Mr. America, anyone?]. I'm sure no one would miss "Kerwin White" if he never showed up again.

devilshalo: I thought I heard in the conference that Vince McMahon and Chavo Guerrero had that the Raw & Smackdown shows were going to be very much like the Owen Hart show...but perhaps it was only in the sense that wrestlers would perform if they chose to do so.

Something tells me I'm gonna be wellin' up with tears tonight...nothings happened yet, but maybe it just hasn't totally sunk in.

I agree 100%. HHH seemed a little forced, especially with the wiping of the tears, but then again, I could also be biased. I thought Steph's comments were very genuine and very emotional to watch.

Rumor has it that eddie was supposed to win the title at these tapings due to Batista's injury.

I think that played into Steph's comments. He died on what may have been his big day.

While I myself am an agnostic/buddhist, I had a tremendous amount of respect for Shawn Michaels' comments. Seemed very heartfelt.

On another note, I hope Chavo gets a push, he deserves one, he's a good worker, and he should have had a continued push after he and Eddy were tag champs. As far as the Kerwin (sp?) White is concerned, I say that hopefully that decision is left exclusively to Chavo.

The show opening had me in tears...I had sniffles the whole show, and broke down when Benoit did. I thought to myself "I can't believe that following how distraught he looked at the open of the show, I can't believe he's keeping his composure for this."

I will keep this show and see if I can put it on a dvd in the near future.

Well, I was going to come post my thoughts about the show but the first thing I see is people crying about Triple H faking it. Fucking internet, man. I just don't belive it. It's amazing to get to see two hours of human spirit and emotion and then coming online to see the ugly, desperate opposite. Very sad indeed.

11-14-05, 11:57 PM
I am 100% sure that all those emotions are real. People have to understand that WWE wrestlers are family to each other. They travel, eat, sleep and work together almost the entire year. Most of the wrestlers spend more time with each others than with their own family and see each other as brothers, including Triple H.

I'm still completely saddened by this tragedy. I have been following Eddie's career since way back in Mexico, when he was part of Los Gringos Locos. I have lost one of my heroes. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

It's amazing to get to see two hours of human spirit and emotion and then coming online to see the ugly, desperate opposite. Very sad indeed.Overdramatize much? If by "people" you were referring to me, I was far from "crying" about it. It was an impression that I got from watching their bits. I'm sorry I didn't have the same emotional experience to their comments that you did.

Most of the wrestlers spend more time with each others than with their own family and see each other as brothers, including Triple H.I hear that, but believe it or not, i'm sure that there are some family members that don't get along. But enough about that....let me continue dishing out "the ugly, desperate opposite of human spirit and emotion"...

While I myself am an agnostic/buddhist, I had a tremendous amount of respect for Shawn Michaels' comments. Seemed very heartfelt.I was totally surprised when Shawn said he had never wrestled Eddie. Truly unbelievable.

I will keep this show and see if I can put it on a dvd in the near future. That's what I plan on doing. Guess i'm finally going to have to learn how to author a DVD. Or at least find an easy-to-use program that does it all for me...

I've been up all night and haven't realy slept as everyone knows by know Eddie Guerrero has passed away. Everybody knows Eddie had his demons but he had been clean for a long time, it was way to soon for him to go and he leaves behind to beautifull young daughters and a wonderfull life my heart goes out to them. Eddie was a huge help to me he helped me progress in the ring and we even wrestles ar wrestlemania in houston in 2001 for the european championship. Eddie i pray you are in a better place and THANKYOU for everything you taught me. Now instead of usually talking about what I'm up to I'm going to break down the reality of this business we call wrestling. When I say "who's next" I'm not coining Goldbergs line I'm actually wondering who's next? who's next to die? I can think of at least 15 to 20 people who have died from various things mostly prescription pain killers. For all you wanna be wrestlers who wanna get in this business..escpecially now when wwe doesn't pay you anymore than you would make at a 9 to 5 job let me break some things down for you. When I started wrestling I had never seen or heard of vicodin or percocet or soma. How come so many wrestlers die from these medications and football players and hockey players don't? The answer is simple..wrestlers especially wwe wrestlers work 5 days a week all year long taking bump after bump in the ring, a doctor explained it to me like this..everytime you take a fall in the ring it's like gettin rear ended by a car going 20mph so how many bumps in the ring a night do you take? multiply that by how many times a week you work all year long..that's a hell of a lot of whiplash and pain. I can remember hearing a conversation from some unamed wwe head guys talking about how this certain person needs to go to rehab but they couldnt send him because he was to important to the show..that's the reality people thta is how we are treated...look at me I break my neck in the ring had to have 2 discs taken out of my neck and a steel plate put in and was told at the time by Johny Ace in his exact words were when I asked if my job would be in jeopardy he said "we don't fire people with injuries like that" Hmm that's funny cause 2 months after surgery I got fired because I wasn't working my 7 years of busting my ass for them and putting over the bosses son while my foot was broken in a cast was all forgotten about. I remember when I was bein trained by Bret and I met Bad News Allen he said this to me and I'll never forget it "all wrestlers are to Vince are puppets and when he is done playing with you he throws you away but sometimes he'll dust you off bring you back and play with you some more" That is the truth people...when Johny Ace called me and told me they were releasing me which of course he put all the heat on Vince...I said to him what kind of message are you sending the boys that if they get hurt they are going to get fired? So all the guys who don't want to lose their jobs what do they do...popp a couple of percocet or vicodin and mask the pain cause god forbid they say they are hurt and lose their job...I'm not going to name any names but I know at least a dozen or so wrestlers who are addicted to these things for that very reason...get hurt lose your job...I just turned 30 my back aches everyday, I have a metal plate in my neck and yes I got in the business at the right time and have a lot of nice things but is it all worth it? you guys don't see the ugly side of this business..yes wrestling is entertainment but the bumps and bruises are real and sometimes they don't go away...so think long and hard before you get in this business cause I can tell you first hand that if your not working or making them money they don't give a shit about you....and the sad part is Eddie was clean and I guarantee he won't be the last one to die in the next 12 months..so that's why i say who's next? Don't take your life for granted it's a gift..don't go to bed mad and tell the people you care about you love them because you never know....take care

Yeah not sure it was the proper song to use but judge for yourselves.

"Hurt" lyrics:

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar's chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

I've never cried during a TV show or movie, and I've become somewhat proud of my "no tears" streak over the years, but damn if this show didn't force me to choke them back at least 3 times.

Everyone's mentioned Benoit's comments and I damn near lost it when he was talking about Eddie, along with the opening segment where the image of him and Angle in tears was hard to watch. But the most surprising moment of the night for me was Batista. It was the complete opposite of his onscreen persona and a side of him we've never seen and will likely never see again. Just gutwrenching.

And BTW, Stephanie seemed 100% genuine. Her comment about him always being a champion coupled with Cena's final gesture in the ring summed up Eddie's life and career.

Eddie and Owen are the only 2 they have done the full Raw show tributes to, correct? Although I remember the guys coming out for the ringbell salute a few times when someone died.

I never thought about how attached I have become to Eddie watching him for the last ten years or so. The other wrestlers who have died did not come close to evoking this kind of emotion from me.

EDDIE GUERRERO'S CAUSE OF DEATH ANNOUNCED
by Mike Johnson @ 12:45:00 PM on 11/15/2005

Former WWE champion Eddie Guerrero passed away due to heart failure brought on by past drug and alcohol abuse, according to a statement made by his wife Vicki to WWE's website this afternoon.

Guerrero told the website, "It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard."

I forgot to mention this...but I was happy to see those "Lie, Cheat and Steal" skits again. As before, they had me rotfl. And now we're stuck with Vinny diggin' through a fake ass. -ohbfrank-

Are those skits included on Eddie's DVD? I ordered it from DDD, but it's on backorder. :(

Damn, Im an old school wrestling fan. I havent watched in 5 years. Eddie was one of my absolute favs though. Even before the LWO :)

Im SO pissed that I missed this Raw as I wanted to really see what everyone had to say. Thanks for the recaps, but I would really love to see this. Is there a way to see it? Maybe some one puts it on line or anything?\

Also, will Smackdown recap alot of this? I recall that show being 2 hours, but from the post recap, it seems like only an hour long.

Fuck it sucks to see Eddie go. He taught me the word "Chapete"...

"Also, will Smackdown recap alot of this?"

From my understanding, it won't really...the show is pretty much a continuation of the night, and will have more interpromotional matches along with various wrestlers/employees commenting on their experiences with Guerrero.

EDIT: if I recall correctly, they ran a crawl on the bottom of the screen during the show a few times saying that the Live with Rita Crosby(?) show on MSNBC would also have a special on Eddy Guerrero...that's at 9 pm.

If you don't hear of another method of getting to see the show, I might be able to tape it and send it to you, but it will probably take quite some time. As I said in another post (in the other thread perhaps?) that I want to put it on DVD, but not sure how to go about doing it at this time...think I have a friend who has a DVD-R thingy hooked to his tv...so I may have to take it off my Tivo, on to a VHS and then over to his place...not sure.

Hey that sounds cool man. If your able to get it on DVD, let me know.

Ive been watching the vids on WWE.com and damn theres some sad shit there. Especailly Benoit. He was one of my faves for the longest time. I knew they came to WWE as the Radicals, but who was the fourth? I recal Malinko, Guerrero, Benoit, and I think that guy "The Franhise" Shane Douglas or something.

Are they showing everything on WWE.com or am I still not seeing some stuff?

Also, when and where do they show Smackdown now? I looked on UPN Thursday but it wasnt even listed.

The fourth member of the "Radicals" (along with Malenko, Guererro, and Benoit) was Perry Saturn. Douglas had long since left the WWE (after that horrific "Dean Douglas" gimmick)

And Smackdown is still on UPN, just on Fridays now.

Benoit is one of the toughest SOBs I've met. Stone faced. No emotion. So to see him breakdown like that was difficult.

Yeah. Man, that was hard. Very hard. Tearing up just thinking of it now.

There's a few of them on there. 5-10 minutes worth? May be easter eggs though.

From what I hear, Smackdown will have some more testimonials and matches and then have an hour retrospective of Eddie's best matches.

I loved the one they showed on Raw Monday night where, after pretending to be admiring a baby in a carriage, Chavo's holding the baby's bottle. Eddie asks him what's he's going to do with it and Chavo tells him he had to take something since Eddie stole everything else

:(

As for SD!, from what I read, I think Batista's gonna be tough to watch. Lord knows he was on Raw.

Oh, and as I was testing out software to use to author, I rewatched the majority of Monday night's show and have to ammend my comments about Steph. Like das and others have said, it did seem sincere [especially, as was pointed out before, the "champion" comments considering what was going to happen due to Batista's injury].

On a related Eddie Guerrero note, I was in the Staten Island Mall today and saw one of the vendor carts that specialize in sports memorabilia had an Eddie Guerrero large action figure displayed prominently. Of course, they were asking 5x as much as any other wrestling figure. Nice.

Anyone else watch the Hitman on Byte This? I think Bret is right. Even with the shitty ending, his career should stand as is. It was painful watching a gray-haired chubby Bret on this show. I don't want to see him try and wrestle a match in his condition. He seemed a little out of it too. Poor guy. He was and will always be one of the all time greats.

Hi. This is off topic from pretty much anything current going on, but i didn't feel the need for a whole new topic...

Does anyone know if the Mick Foley/Undertaker Hell In A Cell match is available on dvd without a blurred WWF logo? I was going to pick up that Foley set but I read the logo was blurred.

dadaluholla...you probably could have started another thread about it in dvdtalk, rather than be off topic here...

As far as the answer is concerned...I'm not sure...perhaps on this dvd? (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005RIYV/102-0585051-7897714?v=glance&n=130&s=dvd&v=glance) I'm not sure though...but the dvd dates to 1998, so maybe that's before the suit was finalized? But that's probably out of print. EDIT: from what the customer reviews say...there's not many (if any) full matches.

To swing it back on topic, very cool Eddy Guerrero t-shirt, I may have to pick it up. I'd be proud to wear it, and glad to contribute to the Guerrero family at the same time (not that I think they're destitute [sp?]).

I didn't think Bret was chubby. He looked very worn out in the face with more wrinkles but not as bad as you say. I don't think he was out of it as well. I thought Todd Grisham was acting too much like a fanboy and asked some really retarded questions. To be honest, Bret just looked bored out of his mind.

Qui Gon Jim
11-18-05, 02:58 AM
I thought Grisham asked tougher questions than I thought he would. They even let a Montreal incident caller through.

I would just hate to have my last memories of Bret be like my last memories of Piper. In my mind Bret went out near the top, and I agree he may sully that now. I would like to see him get the chance to say a proper farewell to his fans, though.

I also don't think that Bret looked terrible by comparison to an average person, but he definitely is not in ring shape. I doubt he can work out as hard with his medical problems. Fucking Goldberg.

how come?

MovieExchange

how come?

Bret is done with wrestling because Goldberg is a fucktard that felt he was too important to bother to learn how to actually wrestle. That meant he didn't know how to properly protect his opponent in the ring, and he ended Bret's career by giving him a bad kick to the head, which caused a major concussion.

Qui Gon Jim
11-18-05, 10:01 AM
Ass hat Goldberg thinks that "realism" is more important than "living to fight another day" and dealt Bret a carreer ending move. He could have learned a lot from Bret's style which was realistic and appeared to be stiff, but really protected his opponent.

True shame.

I can only assume he broke character again...

I've heard he's been doing that at house shows and other live appearances. And as we all know, that's a big No No in the magical world of makebelieve (WWE)...

Nesbit
11-18-05, 10:11 PM
That would explain the suspension but not the hospitalization. I've never heard of Eugene having "Personal demons" but looks like that might be the case. Maybe that's how they'll explain it if they ever bring him back without the retard gimick. Sorry to anyone who is offended but he is presented as the retard wrestler.

harpo787
11-18-05, 10:16 PM
Well, in response to the previous post or so...yeah, I guess I'd be on some sort of drug if I were required to portray a "retarded" wrestler. That's GOT to be difficult to deal with.

To swing back on topic...thumbs up to another great Eddy Guerrero tribute show. The car that Batista drove out had an art piece on the cover, something along the lines of someone being carried in the arms of the Virgin Mary (although I don't think it was Mary...and the person in her arms was covered by Batista's title. Was that supposed to be Eddy I'm curious....

On yet another slightly off topic question, I never picked upthe Guerrero DVD...I'm curious, does it have many matches on it? It doesn't seem like a typical career tribute type DVD...and if it's not, I'm sure one will be in the works.

Listing of whats on the Eddie Guerrero DVD:
http://www.highspots.com/www/stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?store_id=125&page_id=23&Item_ID=11250

(You can get the DVD from DDD today with the 20% discount, comes to around $12 or so. Its backordered but for that price its worth a shot if it comes in. Most places are selling it for over $21 plus tax/S&H.)

Chris Benoit is billed from Atlanta, Georgia as thats where he is lives right now.

Anyone tape last nights Smackdown Guerrero tribute? My UPN affailate had problems all night - losing the picture at the start for 10 mins - then for a few minutes at a time during a couple of the matches with the worst being during the closing moments of the Chavo match! Email me at .....laxbandit.nt2@verizon.net (delete the .....before laxbandit) if you can help me out. (I have the RAW Guerrero tribute/MSNBC tribute - without commercials - on DVD-R - to send in return or will just pay for the tape/DVD-R etc. )

Ok, I just got around to catching more of SD! last night.

It pains me to do this, as since the debut of "JBL" from the likable drinking character he used to be, I've been pretty much nothing but annoyed with his work both in and out of the ring. I'm glad I have TiVo, because his entrance only takes 2 seconds less than Haitch's.

But his "memorial" comments were perfect.

His agreement to work for Chavo and his performance in ring in that match (despite Chavo's inexperience with the 3 amigos ;) ) was classy.

 from me, JBL.

From the fake chairshot (he forgot to bang it on the mat for effect) through the frogsplash, my eyes kept watering more and more....

Continue to :rip:, Eddie...
