Any reviews of the Andrzej Wajda Retrospective 6-Pack?

Any reviews of the Andrzej Wajda Retrospective 6-Pack (released by Vanguard)? It's currently rather cheap at DDD (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=VAN005133). The DVDTalk reviews of the individual titles are not particularly helpful; the reviews are not very well written and the reviewer admits to having a limited knowledge of foreign films. Anyone have this set or the individual titles and can comment? Thanks.

If you're familiar with Andrzej Wajda enough to want his movies, the limitations of the reviewer's knowledge of the man and his movies shouldn't be a factor in your purchasing decision. If you're familiar with Vanguard, the company releasing the region 1 discs in question, you will have to weigh their usual quality (or lack there of) into the decision. I've seen some of them on tape long ago and the DVDs looked much better but they were by no means as good as they should have been. Given how cheap the set is, it shouldn't be an issue to a serious fan of the director's works (although you can probably find better releases in other regions).
