DVD Talk review of 'A Bridge Too Far: SE'

I read DVD Savant's DVD review of A Bridge Too Far: SE at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=18606 and...I think he must have looked at a different disc than i did.
This is one of the worst tranfer PQ wise i have seen for a long time.
Film damage almost the entire running time and shimmering also.
He must have some filters in front of his eyes if he gives this transfer 4 stars!!!!!!

How's the sound and PQ on the previous one?

I only had the R2 old release before (the one disc release) which was very similar (at least i recall that, i got rid of it years ago)to this release except for the extras.
