No, more to fridays as well. Most Tuesdays there's nothing I want. So I'm only excited for certain Tuesdays, where every Friday is something to look forward to.

Though not so much recently as I've pretty much been working, studying or both 7 days a week lately.

Tuesday's or Friday's the foods about the same IMHO.

Yeah, its funny you should mention this. I always crack up the people at work cause I always know the dates of each tuesday every month, and I can figure out the date of a day in the week based on that knowledge of tuesdays release date. Co-workers originally thought I was remembering that date because tuesday is a surgery day for us, but as I told em...nope, its dvd release day! :)

Yeah, I used to run to Best Buy every Tuesday 'cuz they'd have those tables set up with all the new releases.

Now I check at Wal*Mart and Target first... and usually on another day unless it's really special.

Fridays to watch, but Tuesday more so because there's nothing like the thrill of buying. Though this Tuesday has nothing for me.

I look forward to any day I can go to a pawn shop, which is everyday, so yes, by default, I live for Tuesday..and the other 6.

Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week as well. I work every other Friday, so I usually don't look forward to those.

Friday. Last day of the workweek, payday, get to sleep in the next two days, any new movies I'm dying to see at the theater I know I'll go see, a bit of shopping, having fun with pals, watching movies over the weekend.......friday is the day that brings the freakin' workweek to a close. Tuesdays are fun as far as what is coming out, but it's still a damn tuesday with three more days to work afterwards.

Why yes, yes I do... I do live for Tuesdays. But this week is different, this is the week I recieve my 42" Sony LCD Rear-Projection HDTV, and that's Wednesday. This week I live for Wednesday.

how did Tuesday become the day that new stuff was released on anyway? It kind of pisses me off that I can't get the new movies when I'm out on Sundays, looking through the ads and discovering that I have to make ANOTHER trip.

I've always called it Super Tuesday and depending on what titles are being released, I sometimes take Tuesday off for film enjoyment. I also get the same giddey feeling on Thursdays and Fridays as I usually have a few orders coming in via Big Brown. Tuesday can be fun....but it's not enough.:D

Naah ... usually the DVDs I want are still available on Friday :fc: Friday is the fulfilling exclamation point to the work week and the night of relaxation and capability of sleeping in the next day.

Ahh, why does it have to be Monday :bmonkey: in a few hours?

The only Tuesdays that I have really, REALLY looked forward to was October 18th for Batman x 5 and when Star Wars came out on DVD. Other than that ... I can wait until the weekend.

The plural of "Tuesday" is "Tuesdays". (English major, sorry)

On topic, I don't typically get buy new releases. Heresy, I know, but most DVDs I buy I get through Columbia House (unless they don't offer it). New releases aren't available as the five DVDs you pick at enrolment, so I typically wait a few months until they are available for enrolment. Occasionally a release will take a few years to be available for enrolment, but patience pays off: SE7EN Platinum Series, finally, after a couple(?) years.

I get my preorders on Mondays from DVDEmpire, so that's the day I look forward to.

I care not about Tuesday, since I order 98% of my DVD's on-line and I have so many unwatched movies/TV shows that I wouldn't watch them right away anyways.

I don't think I've ever gone to a B&M to buy a movie on release-day Tuesday, now that I think about it.

Me too. I think I enjoy Friday's a bit more too, as ususally I don't have time to watch anything buy on Tuesday anyway, and look forward to the weekend for that.

Don't live for Tuesdays, but as others have mentioned I look forward to them when things that I really want are released. I get more excited for days that I don't have work :)

Since I work at Best Buy and supervise new release day, I guess I don't look forward to them as much as some. I do, however, get to see everything more than a week in advance, which is cool.

Only when there's a string of new releases. But I usually look forward to Friday after work....I hate my job.

Super, super, super Tuesday! I always announce that at work like the monster truck rallies! My co-workers always see me coming back to work after lunch with my Best Buy "goodie" bag!!

Tarantino, I feel your pain. Two years ago I was the senior in media at my Best Buy store. The only good thing about it was that I'd be able to pull my DVDs before anyone else!

Retailers want you to come in twice.

Back when I was buying like crazy I used to look forward to Tuesdays. But hardly anything comes out anymore that I want. I still pick up Criterions every now and then but I don't buy those from the store.

I used to get excited about going and picking up a new disc on Tuesday, but now I really don't care unless its something I REALLY want. I've cut back on buying quite a bit.
