Ok, I have an older subwoofer in my house....it does the job fine, but I want something new. My old one is a JBL and all my speakers are JBL also.
What would you recommend for around $200ish? I was looking at another JBL or the Sony DUAL 10"
Any opinions?

Did you forget your last thread? ;) http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6237426&postcount=1
Unless you want to double your budget somehow to save for an SVS PB-10, I think that JBL 250 is still the cream of the <$300 subs. It's been talked about here and at other forums quite a bit. Every "cheap sub" thread I see ends up talking about it. Still $250 at J&R, cheaper on Ebay.

Oops....I did forget about it. Glad you remembered. I guess I will look into that JBL or SAVE up for the SVS (which is what I might do)
What is the main difference between the CUBE and smallest CYLINDER sub from SVS?

The biggest difference between cube and cylinder from the SVS people's point of view is ease of placement. The cube will take more floor space so it might be harder to tuck away out of sight. Sound wise the shape shouldn't matter.
