Yeah, you guys need the new Quicktime.

Kickass trailer.

But it got a bit weird when Hitler showed up...I hope Jackson knows what he's doing.

Upgrade to Quicktime 7, if you don't have it. I got that error with Quicktime 6.

Downloading now in 720p High Def... will watch it later on the 42" widescreen and HT system. Are any of these QT trailers 5.1? The other ones I have don't seem to be.

Looks great. I'm curious if anyone knows anything more about why Howard Shore was replaced with James Newton Howard.

Is QT now available only w/ ITunes? I never saw the original King Kong, so I'm hesitant to watch this and have too much revealed. Thanks for the link, though.

The only thing I heard was that Jackson was unhappy with the music so instead of risking their friendship by going into a debate about what Jackson wanted vs. what Shore wanted, Peter just brought in another composer. From everything I've read both men mutually agreed it was the best thing to do.

BTW, everything in the trailer looks great EXCEPT Kong...it's just hard to make a CGI character of an animal everyone is familar with (unlike dinosaurs, which we only speculate about how they moved) look "real" - even if that animal is larger than the normal size ones we are used to seeing at the zoo. Kind of like trying to make a CGI actor...there's always something that doesn't look quite "right".

Man, that was like the whole movie in two minutes. Looks cool. I dig the overly bright colors. Kinda Star Warsy in all it's digital glory. Hope it's as good as it looks.

I expected to hear Tenacious D tear shit up after those opening lines were spoke!

Not thrilled about all the Skull Island stuff, but the Empire State Building footage looked pretty damn cool.

I think he was actually referring to how fake the cgi Hitler looked.

I think he was referring to the CGI Jack Black. I still can't believe they wouldn't spring for the real thing.

Saw the full trailer on TV tonight. Nice to see some of the shots they showed at Comic-Con fully CG'd.

I think this movie might have a chance at the box office

Hmmm, the whole movie looks like a cartoon but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

But it does look almost too polished...I look forward to seeing the complete film.

Meh... not digging the colors, actors, or preview in general, but hopefully it'll be fun.

Anyone else's playing like crap? I just downloaded Q7 and it starts acting like Realplayer about halfway thru. Other files that are much bigger are still playing fine... hmm.
