I haven't found a lot to read on it, but on other HT forums where it's been discussed (and dissected ) it seems to be the same player as the Oppo, but with an HDMI port. I also want to say it might be made by BBK (?) which is also the same electronics company that makes the Oppo. Not sure if BBK is the proper initials, could be something like BKK or BKB.
Yes, very helpful post, I know.

I've located a review of the former NeuNeo HVD208 model just a few months prior, but it may have numerous similarities, and more with the new HVD2085 model manufactured from the same series. This may give you an inclination of your interests. Hope this will be insightful, and informative. Here is the link

I read the review on the player and it appears to be one great player. Now it does look very cheap but the performance looks great. With a firmware upgrade the player will upscale to 1080P. So all of you (like my self) with a 1080P DLP TVs will have a field day with this player.

I'm looking to purchase this player. I currently own the new Samsung HLR7178W which can display content in true HD (1080p). What do I have to do in order to upgrade the HVD2085 to support 1080p via HDMI? Other than possibly shell out more money. LOL Thanks in advance for your help.

Here's a review of the NeuNeo:

It is most certainly not the same player as the Oppo.
Rob, I believe if you order the player now it should come with the latest firmware to support 1080p, however I'm pretty sure I read that the Samsung sets cannot accept a 1080p input. They only accept 720p or 1080i and scale them to 1080p.

Hey Josh, thanks for the info. Do you remember where you read the article on Samsung sets not being able to accept 1080p input? Also, when a picture is scaled to 1080p from 720p or 1080i how does the picture compare to an actual 1080p input? Thanks.

I believe there are currently zero TVs under $10k that can accept 1080p over HDMI. Even the $12k Qualia can't. The latest Samsungs and Mits have promised 1080p over component, not HDMI. I could be wrong about Mits.
EDIT.
Hmm. I don't know. The spec sheet claims your TV can't accept 1080p at all. Next generation could, perhaps.
