I've ordered from www.abebooks.com and www.half.com without any problems.

In addition to Half, Amazon works too. Find the book you want on their site and they'll almost always have a "used" option on the page. Something like "25 used and new available from $14.95"

Alibris (http://www.alibris.com/) is worth checking out as well.

I have been buying from www.hamiltonbook.com for years. They have a large inventory of overstock books and have cheap postage. Their website lists most of their inventory but it's best to send them your order to avoid the credit card fee. If you get on their mailing list they will send you about 2 catalogs a month.

Abebooks and Hamilton Book are great. I got a book from Hamilton for under $10 that was $25 everywhere else.

Maybe this would get more notice if I started a new thread, but there was a page I found once where it had like 35 different book searches on one page, anyone know what I'm talking about? I really wish I had saved it.

When this thread first opened initially I failed to find the following discussion that I recalled might be of some interest/relevance:

Where do you get the books you read? (http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105265)

http://used.addall.com/

Their search engine searches ABE, Alibris, and about 15 other used book dealers and conglomerates online.

http://www.bookfinder.com lists multiple search services. A lot of the time, you'll see the same book at the same dealer for different prices, because some search services cost more than others.
