Are those $2.99 "Collectible Classics" like The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland the fake animated versions by companies nobody has ever heard of or are these the genuine Walt Disney classics?

They are the former, not the latter. Fine print says they are from "Good Times".

I spotted these titles this week at a K-Mart store in northern Delaware that put them out early; they were marked at a pre-sale $4.99 and there were exactly 2 of each title in a box with mostly junk titles, save a few genre titles from Image like "The Crawling Eye," the original "Assault on Precinct 13," and "Dreamscape." Also saw a few copies of Joe Dante's "Piranha." If you want these titles, better be there when the store opens on Sunday and even then, they may not have them.

I'm probably going to go to K-mart first for EP III because I need EP I and II also and at $8.99 they're a bargain. The only problem is their deal on EP III will most likely stink - I bet they'll want $19.99 for it. I wish K-mart pricematched because I have an ad for a local store that has EP III for $11.99.

Ep III is $18.99 at K-Mart. Due to the conjunction "or" in the ad you can only get one of the other episodes for $8.99 not both.

I picked up Matchstick Men (widescreen too). Good movie for a great price.

I'm curious if we'll start seeing a variety of more titles at this price.

I just picked up Matchstick Men (widescreen) for $4. Still a good bargain, given the cheapest online price is $5.30 + shipping from dvdpacific.
