Hopefully Ep 3 will be $12.99 for RZ members on Tuesday. That would be an awesome price with the lithograph. Even if it's not, $14.99 is still great.

I was just going to get 3 movies this week, Star Wars, Office Space and War of the Worlds, but CC's 9.99 price for Predator 2 will make it 4.

Best Buy's site lists 14.99 as the sale price for Star Wars, I'm sure CC will be the same.

Altimus Prime
10-27-05, 09:00 PM
$9.99 for SW Ep 2 at CC. Time to pick that one up.

Sucks that no one is putting out a price for Ep 3, though. Guess I'll have to call around on Tuesday.

Price on the SW trilogy is laughable. I got that for $39.99 at WalMart in April.

Thanks, Episode 3 and Office Space (still considering the box o' extras, have to see pics of it first) at Best Buy for me.

Well, a red Swingline stapler alone is going to cost you more than the difference between the standard DVD and the giftset.

Have you seen it? Im hoping its a real Stapler for adults and not one of those little play ones about the size of a thumb.

They don't show what's inside the Office Space set in this picture, but at least it gives you the box art.

when it says "Office Space SE w/Flair DVD" thats not a seperate DVD that comes with the deluxe set or anything, just the title of the "special edition", right? I hope i don't have to pony up the extra $10 for all the material on Office Space, i don't really need all that extra crap. Anyway, just Episode 3 and OS for me, probably at Best Buy.

So tempted for the Sex and the City complete series, but unless they re-mastered some of those early season episodes, I'll wait for the eventual HD release someday.

Thank god, only Office Space this week, because last week was hell and November and December are going to be hellish to my bank account.

Under the 2 for $20 in Best Buy, is that the new release of Fifth Element, or the older release without any extras?

And nope, gift card in your pocket is effectively the same thing as cash. Thus your out-of-pocket cost is still @ 175 dollars.

I don't get this...unless he bought the gift card for himself his out of pocket cost is still ~$100. The gift card is worth $0 in his pocket, it's not as if he could use it like real money anywhere other than Best Buy.

But he could use that $75 on anything at Best Buy. At Best Buy, that gift card is cash. It's not a $75 off coupon on a certain item. If another store happened to sell the same thing for ~$100, would that really be the same deal? Of course not.

Sure, it's the same out of pocket cost, in terms of actual money, but if he bought it at this other place, he'd still have $75 to spend at Best Buy.

Yes, the gift card was a present for my BD a month ago from my kids. I was going to use it this past week,(10/25), on titles I wanted but since hurricane wilma ruined that chance for me, as the local BB will be closed until monday 10/31 because of the storm, I ordered what I wanted on line. I was going to purchase SATC for my wife as a Christmas present anyway, now I figure I can just use the GC and spend less out of pocket for the title!
peace y'all-

If you would of bought this at BB even without the GC, it's all good. I just get frustrated when my wife buys something at a place that she normally wouldn't because she has a GC. She'll say it's $xx cheaper with the GC, but if she would just wait and buy something that is the best deal there anyways, then she would get full value of the GC and there would be no opportunity cost loss. The part that really gets me is that she's an engineer and understands exactly what I'm saying, but SHE DOES IT ANYWAY!

it's the regular version.

daredevil is the director's cut so it looks like that got an MSRP price drop to $14.99 so most stores will have it for $9.99 regular price.

Yes it is.. Went to CC on Tuesday and saw it stickered at $6.99, I picked it up with-a-quickness, but it scanned for $9.99 at register. After telling the cashier, It's priced $6.99, she was like no it's scanning at $9.99. So she asked another cashier, and she looked at it and said well U have to give it to him for $6.99 since it's priced that way. SWEET! Deal. anyway Girl went directly to the other 10 copies they had... prob-ly pulled them to re-price them at $9.99.

if anyone wants to purchase the Sex And The City set, I found perhaps the best sale on it (I posted this on HTF last night)

for "Backstage Pass" members at FYE/Camelot/Coconuts/etc.. (all TWEC stores), you can get the Sex And The City collection for $161.99 ($179.99 - the 10% members save on all purchases) plus you get a $20 rebate (the UPC code is located on a slip of paper where it won't destroy the packaging), and on top of that you also receive a $10 rebate for free gas since the set is over $75 (this goes for all over-$75 purchases), so after rebates, the set is practically $131.99. However, the set I picked up was the only one they had at the FYE here, so YMMV on it. But it is the best deal I can find on the item factoring in the rebates.

FYE also buys used CD's and DVD's for store credit, so you can bring in your old S&TC DVD's and get that towards the purchase as well (that's what I did).
