Need help to identify an episode of DS9

I need to know the title of the episode of Deep Space Nine where Sisko was traveling back in time mentally. He was a writer back in the 70's or 60's?? Anyway, all of the DS9 cast members showed up as local earth characters. Sisko wrote a story about DS9 that all the other writers loved but couldn't print because if featured an African-American captain on a space station.

Odo was the editor-in-chief (i think), Kira, O'Brian, Bashier were also writers for the same company. Worf was a baseball player and Jake was a petty thief.

Anyone? thanks for your help.

The writer (Sisko) in the past wrote a book that shares the same name as the episode title.

Oh. So its a fictional book title that we're referring to, correct? (meaning not a real book, but a book in the Trek universe)

I don't understand the premise. Trek is not fiction.
