Super Princess Peach DS is actually very good!!!

Just had a chance to try out the import version of "Super Princess Peach" for the Nintendo DS.

Don't let the girly title and look fool you. What is here is a very strong platformer that is along the lines of the original Mario Brothers Games. Mario Bros/Mario 3/Mario World/Yoshi's Island. The visual style is most comparable to Yoshi's Island.

There is even a nice nod to Mario Bros. 2 as peach has her same move again as in that game. She also has new moves to aquire as you move along.

If you enjoyed those games, you should very much enjoy this one as well.

It was just released overseas this past week and is proving to be one fun title. No US release till next spring. So, it's available to import, but you will just have to tolerate the Japanese. The game is a little text heavy, but it's pretty easy to figure out whats going on by the visuals.

I think it has somewhere near 72 levels...Around the same as Mario 3 if I remember correctly.

Guess this one is a must buy. At first I wasn't sure if it was a platform game or a puzzle game. Sounds good though.

It could be the greatest game in the world and fireworks could shoot out the DS when you finish it but I'll never be caught playing a game called Super Princess Peach.

Thats cool, but I dont remember any of us sticking a gun to your head telling you to do so. lol.

So, I really dont get what the point of this overdramtic broadway production is suppose to be? I almost expect Carol Channing to pop up with her rendition of "Hello Dolly." I got that from the part about the fireworks.

Just don't be so overdramtic and upset over the whole thing. Take a breather and relax. No one is forcing you to play anything. Play what it is you want.

Have a good day.

He's just pointing out how manly he is to the internets, just ignore it.

I always wondered how a game as bad as Bloodrayne got a sequel though, well now I have my answer.

But that attitude helps explain why the U.S. missed out on such great platformers as Flaming Butt Pirate and Fairy-Boy's Secret Closet Encounters.

What are the odds of this getting a localized US release?

I like them odds. While importing isn't out of the question, neither I nor my daughters can read Japanese.

I also saw the import impressions, sounds like an awesome platformer. There are too few 2D platformers, and since this one is good, I'm buying it!
