Has anybody used whatihave.com?

I recieved in my yahoo bulk mail a link to this site called whatihave.com, that seems to be something similar to what Guzzlefish offered plus it seems to have some other nifty features. Since I recieved the address in my spam folder of my e-mail, i was wondering if somebody has used the site before and if it is legit. Here is the link to the site:

Yeah, I started putting in my stuff there, and after you input 200 items, you can fill out a small survey for a free barcode scanner, which I got after just a few days.

Their system sucks, and I don't recommend it right now unless you just want a free barcode scanner. Otherwise, stick with dvdprofiler (my preference) or dvdafficianado.

It never works for me when I try to add an item. I think it's in beta though.

Yes, it is in beta and they're still working out the kinks. They list a "value" for each item you enter, and I don't know where the hell they get their numbers from. Almost all of the Criterions have a $0.00 value, and shit like Desperado or something would be like $13.00.

So how is the scanner? Is it basically a CueCat type thing?

edit: I just checked the site out and it has a list of the most recently added items, including some guy's porn. I'm sure he likes that advertised.

That's exactly what it is. I used it a couple times adding things into DVDProfiler, but it seems to be quicker to just type them in rather than plug in the scanner and run it across the UPC half a dozen times per title.

DVDProfiler will get you there. It's free, but there's also an option to pay if you choose to go that route. It's $30 for a lifetime subscription. That gets you better cover scans and a few other things. But it's optional. It's an application that runs on Windows with the ability to upload to their website. You can see my collection below.

If dx23 was a new member, you might have a point, but he's been here two years and has hundreds of non-spam posts.

whatihave - Maybe they just want to know what you have so they can pull their truck up to your house while you're at work and load it up. They have to know what size vehicle to bring.
