This was a really good episode!
So is Dean and Sloane working together? I was trying to understand that last shot. What was the deal with the one dude who saw him in prison, I was wondering if I missed something.

So the one guy was working for Dean, got Sloane to agree to do something, and then influenced that committee to let Sloane free? Haha. So I'm guessing that prosecutor will be back and is working with the bad guys?

Really enjoyed this episode. I was foolish enough to hope that justice was coming for all the shit Arvin had done. Anyways, now it looks like Arvin is a bad guy again, which I always liked more.
I have one request for the show, is that they go back to the cliffhanger episodes that they used to have. Leave me hanging , and then in the next episode, use the 1st ten minutes to resolve last weeks episode.

This episode harkened back to the fun days of Alias, lots of spy-vs-spy action, and slowly shifts the emphasis from Sydney to Rachel, and providing her with the foundation for her determination to stay alive and to learn new skills to stay alive and to bring Dean and his operation to justice.
Sloane appears to have made a deal with the devil to get off scot-free. Jack looked surprised and things have to get even more treacherous for many people. Hmm...

Anyways, a very fun episode. I like it a lot. Can't help but to root for Rachel.

Great episode. This is the Alias that should have aired last season when it had that nice, cushy, post-Lost timeslot. It makes me a little sad to know that so many people have tuned out just as the show is getting good again.
Not only do I really like Rachel, but I also like what she's bringing out in Syd. I think they have a lot more chemistry than Syd & Nadia did.

Agree with all of you. Last night's episode was the best so far. I hope this is the turning point of bringing Alias back on track. Good times, good times.

I agree Last season everything was dull, from the storylines, and the look was so blah looking. This season so far has been great (expect for how they handled vaughns death)

Now that Rachel Nichols is a regular, all is forgiven for that moronic zombie thing from last season. Alias is now back onto my MythTV regular settings.

I like the way Rachel's character is playing out. I was expecting a blonde version of Sydney. Instead, what we're getting is a female version of Marshall. There's something very hot about a blonde leggy geek.

It's just a little better than the previous 2-year downward spiral. I don't get the sense they've turned things around. (Although I certainly hope they have.)
a) They've finally dumped Vaughn and his tedious relationship with Syd (at least for now...that guy needs to stay dead).
b) Ditto Nadia (we'll probably see her again for a few episodes, but I'm glad she's no longer a regular)
c) Ditto Rambaldi (...I think? Last year's finale was the end of it, right?)
d) New arc with Rachel & her evil ex-employers, which so far sounds a hell of a lot more interesting than the Lauren arc (too mired in Syd/Vaughn angst) and...whatever boring storyline they did last season.
e) Rachel herself is a likable (and extremely hot) new character, who's bringing out a side of Sydney that we haven't really seen since the Will days, where she's mentoring someone new to the super secret agent biz. I haven't really cared much for Syd the past couple of seasons, but I've been liking her lately...she has this protective, "big sisterly" vibe with Rachel that I didn't really feel she had with Nadia (part of this may be the fact that I thought Nadia sucked).
f) Evil Amy Acker kicks ass, and she'll be in the show for at least 7-9 eps.
So yeah...if they can get me interested in both new plots and new castmembers, as well as make me like the lead character again, I'd say that it's "getting good again", especially since I was ready to completely give up on it. Of course, they could completely screw things up in typical Alias style, but for now, it feels like the show has new promise that it didn't have back in January.
