Help! Man needs romantic movie list...

I need a list of your favorite romance movies. The only movie I can think of is the one with Lisa Bonnett and James Cahn where the psychologist tried to recreate reality so he could be rich. Anyone have any other good one's?

I do not know what your definition of "romantic" is but I just sent a review of what I consider one of the best romantic films ever called Gloomy Sunday...the only film that comes close enough to my all time favorite Girl on the Bridge!!

You could see the trailer to Gloomy Sunday here!!

That's the only one you can think of? I've never even HEARD of this movie.

I have a particular preference for Asian romances. However, I think it would be more convenient for you to select something both American and more recent. I haven't seen it yet but maybe "The Notebook" (2004) would be a good and accessible starting point in exploring the genre. Some people I know seem to have liked it.

And, welcome to the forum Vegeto!

Either The Princess Bride or Irreversible.

Ciao,

Fantastic review as usual... I'm quite excited to pick this one up as Girl on the Bridge is also one of my all time favorites. BTW, the trailer sadly fails to load on the site listed.

You can only view it if you use internet Explorer. For some strange reason if you go through Firefox....nothing happens. Go figure!!

Not only romantic, but my personal all-time favorite movie.

This is one of those "top 25" lists - not mine - but it has some good films in it.

http://www.couplescompany.com/Featur...ovies/Love.htm

(and if you too type "top romantic films of all time" into google, you'll find more lists to give you ideas)

Of those, I've seen and enjoyed Casablanca, Romeo & Juliet, When Harry Met Sally, My Fair Lady, As Good As It Gets, The English Patient (although it gets maligned a fair bit, I think it's a good film), and The African Queen. I think I'd leave True Lies off of the list, to be honest.

Thanks for your suggestions. The movie I was thinking about was Lathe of Heaven: James Caan, Lukas Haas, Lisa Bonet. Many more recent films have borrowed from the basic plot of Lathe of Heaven; such as, 50 first dates, the butterfly effect, and eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.

I'll be incorporating these films into my latest project press releases
