How I Met Your Mother - 10/17 question
In the scene where Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders flash the bouncer to get into the club, were those the Freaks & Geeks guys waiting in line (or just Sam Levine & 2 other geeky guys)?
Nope... i don't have Tivo.

Wow, I'm still undecided about this show. NPH consistently brings the funny, when he's not overplayed (like the Philadelphia episode). But I find Marshall and Lily boring. Ted is beyond annoying. Robin is nice to look at and sometimes funny.
I thought the cab ride at the end was great. It was just funny how they were all yelling at each, and just sometimes hearing each other. Or when Barney would talk over the others. It gets another week from me.

Again, a pretty funny episode. I thought Ted was actually much less annoying this episode, and the scene with him and the coat wench was pretty good. The "girls off on their own" scene was much shorter this time around, but I thought it was done much better as well. Let's hope the writers keep getting better and better. Loved the Barney with his cousin story line.
"Hey, this is my friend Barney. Tonight, he was dancing with this girl, see..."

I am still on the fence about this show (I generally loathe sitcoms) but I liked this one as it employed some unusual storytelling tactics for a sitcom. I thought the club stuff was very true to life and I liked the sub-titles and being deaf afterwards. I thought it was great how Ted just didn't want to be at the club, but Marshall and Lily wanted to be instead of their grownup party.
I still thnk this would be a much better show if they filmed it like Kitchen Confidential or Arrested Development. Lose the hokey sitcom conventions. But this episod seemed the less sitcomy of them all, so it was my favorite.

I still say the final swerve is Lily as the mother.

Didn't Ted say that Robin is the kids' aunt ("And that's how I met your Aunt Robin")? So wouldn't his wife be Robin's sister (which we haven't met yet)?
I'm betting Robin is one of a set of twins (both played by the same actress). She's way too hot to end up being just "one of the guys".
