Not getting audio through HDMI?

I set up my Samsung LNR408D this weekend. I ran an HDMI cable from my cable box to the TV. I'm not getting any audio through the HDMI cable. The picture is brilliant but no audio.

I then ran component cable from the box to my receiver and I do receive audio through my surround when I turn on the receiver.

When I switch to regular cable from HDTV, I get audio through the TV from the coax.

I've tried running component cable from the box directly to the TV and that didn't work either. I also tried running it into the TV and then out into the receiver (advice of the cable company tech support) and got nothing.

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Sean

Two seperate issues. Component cable is video only, you would need an audio cable to get audio. Coax carries the audio signal. As for the HDMI, it may have been as simple as a setting, although since it was a cable box, that would have been the place to start, the cable company tech support.
