Gilmore Girls Season 4 with Teen People issues or $4.80 refund

I just got Gilmore Girls Season 4. The package has a sticker on the front offerring four free issues of Teen People.

The Teen People subscription card inside has fine print on the bottom saying that if you don't want 'Teen People' they will send you a $4.80 refund instead of the magazine issues.

That is essentially a $4.80 rebate if you don't want the magazine issues.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before - I searched on 'Gilmore' and 'Teen', and nothing came up.

This offer came in Smallville S3 I believe and I don't think I ever got the $4.80 rebate, I think I got something to the effect that the rebate wasn't valid, even tho I submitted everything required.

I did the rebate for a movie but was sent teen people would have made the movie under $6.
