Odd that this would be your first post to the forum.

Anyway, this is old news, and it shouldn't be a big deal to anybody who doesn't use cheats and hacks.

Old news or not it's worrisome to say the least. This isn't about hacks or cheats it's about the potential for what this could do not just to gaming but privacy in general.

I'm pretty sure my tinfoil hat will protect me, plus it has the added benefit that I can pretend I'm a real-life paladin while I play!

So, after the whole article, the writer just says "we can probably trust Blizzard, but not some hacker who might do the same thing".

So... An article just to tell us that there are hackers out there that might try and steal our info?

Past conspiracy theories I don't see how this affects anybody.. especially the fabled "other gamers" as proposed in the thread title. I don't see how this will affect me playing Kingdom Hearts II or Dragon Quest VIII or playing on my NES every weekend.

WoW contains anti-tinfoil hat algorithms. I'm afraid you're totally vulnurable.
