How I Met Your Mother 10/10

while the main story was ok, NPH continues to be the funniest thing about this show.

"FRIENDSHIP OVER!!!!"

I agree that was the funniest line but you forgot to include the preceding lines: "You dumped a pornstar!", "Friendship over", "FRIENDSHIP OVER!!!"

I also liked the dares that Barney made Robin do over the air especially the "naughty girl" one.

I just found it weird (maybe I'm just a prude) when the older Ted is telling his kids about the passionate night that he spent with his reunion with Natalie.

As goes Robin as goes this show for me. She was a central part of the first 2 episodes and I really liked them. Last week was my least favorite of the bunch and this one rebounded nicely. She's my favorite part of the show.

I would have loved to see her do the Ickey Shuffle.

Yeah, I was annoyed that they didn't show the boob honking either.

You know what I think would be funny? A woman staggers into a bar with her clothing ripped and face bruised & bloodied because her boyfriend or husband knocked her to the ground and beat her with both fists. Oh man, that would be hilarious!

The main character continues to be the worst part of the show.

Barney and Robin were the highlights of this week's ep, which was much better than last week's.

So basically this guy is telling his kids how much of an asshole he was in previous relationships? Great example he's setting there.

I liked it, but I just couldn't buy the fact that even after he found out it was her birthday he went through with it anyway, especially after the past incident. So she's not "the one", at least stick it out for another day and let her enjoy her birthday. Too contrived a moment for me, even for a sitcom.

Alyson was very good too.

The premise is even worse than the star, but tonight's episode was the best I've seen so far.

Does Jason Segal's character say much? It didn't seem like he had more than a few words during the entire show.

I just saw this for the first time today ... nothing on FOX today ... what is this show about?

The Bob Saget sounding voice over is talking to who? Why?

Is the hook that we want to know who the wife is? What's it all about alfie?

Is the wife dead or something?

I thought it was ok

Liked the "Friendship over" line but other than that nothing that great.

I agree Robin and Barney are the best part of the show.

NPH is just a funny guy. Great in White Castle, and especially in this.

White Castle is a great movie. Loved it.

I liked the show. So who remembered the Ickey Shuffle before they mentioned the name? Huh? Huh? I did.

It is Bob Saget doing the voiceover. He's talking to his kids in the year 2030 (or maybe 2035) about how he met their mother in 2005. His wife is not dead at that point but so far has not been seen, likely because they want to keep the viewer in suspense about her identity. The first episode hinted strongly that it was going to be Robin, but then one of future kids called her Aunt Robin, so we know it isn't her.

This show is holding up for me - I found last night's episode to be pretty good. Definitely the biggest surprise for me in this new season.

i watched this show for the first time last night. I LOVED it. Long time since I had that many laugh out loud moments in a sitcom. And neil Patrick Harris is the unsung hero in the show. FRIENDSHIP OVER!

How I Met Your Mother 10/10 - "Return of the Shirt"

I think this was even funnier than last week's. NPH's antics/lines were much low-key and his "challenges" to Robin were awesome. That was my favorite part.

And Cobie Smulders continues to bring teh hot.

I'm getting a little fed up at how funny all of the characters think they are. They're always sitting at that bar laughing at each other's jokes. LAME.

I knw I'm episodes late, but I don't like hwo Robin jsut suddenly became one of the group. If I have a group of friends, the girl who I fall in love with, then get my heart broken by doesn't join the circle. Bottom line. because stone cold says so

I'm really digging the show so far. Its about the only laugh track sitcom I can tolerate these days.

After the end of the second episode, I worried that the show wouldn't work, because we were led to believe that Robin was the one...and if she isn't, the chemistry between her and the main guy would be crap.

However, its still working for me. Maybe just making her part of the group with no explanation works best....it is a sitcom afterall.

FRIENDSHIP OVER!!! is enough to keep me watching this show for at least 4 more episode regardless of what stinkers they throw out there (but hoping there not stinkers)

It's kind of safe to say, given CBS's record on Mondays, and that the show is considered pretty good at worst, that this show might be around for quite some time.

I've never watched King of Queens, Yes, Dear, Still Standing, and only a few times watched Raymond, but weren't all those shows on Monday and don't they all seem to last and last? Even if they're moved?

I don't have a single friend who's watched any of those shows (except Raymond).

Maybe the producers will take some notice of what the fans like and give more lines and storyline to NPH and the girl who plays Robin. That and keeping Alyson front and center and I'll probably watch it for as long as it airs.
