Surface - "Episode 4" - 10/10

10/10? Isn't it a bit early to be grading the episode?
I just watched last week's episode today. I find with this show, I am not overly eager to watch it, but once I do, I find it really entertaining. Definitely the best of the 3 sci-fi shows this year (did not say "Lost Clone" to avoid offending those that seem to take such great offense at this name.)

I love this show, didnt anyone esle get reminded of Close in encounters of the third kind? with the guy with all the drawings all over his house, going nuts and getting a dirty, family leaving and him chasing after the car. just like Richard Drufass did in Close encounters.

Again, this show at least gives the audience progress in storyline to come back for more the next week. It's still more entertaining than Threshold or Invasion.

Of all the new sci-fi shows this season, I really like Surface the best. It doesn't seem to take itself too seriously and I like how it has a little bit of "cute" factor to it. I couldn't take another show as intense as Lost

Another very good episode. I'm thinking they should ditch the insane guy storyline and give the Russian scientist his own arc. I found myself really hoping that insane guy would get eaten this episode, but I had to settle for the dog instead.

The show had me worried during the first half. I don't mind it paying homage to a great movie, but there was just a little too much borrowed from Close Encounters. It was also a bit slow .... but
The second half was great. This show is very good at getting you stoked to watch the next week.

My wife and I were both noticing that that chick was a little too stacked for 15.
I also picked up on the Close Encounters vibe going on. I don't believe his brother is still alive, but I also don't think it's all in his head. Not sure where that one is going.
So far I'm really enjoying this show.

I thought this an extremely slow filler type episode where not a whole lot happened.
I also, am totally sick of the crazy guy story line, and am disappointed in the Close Encounters of the Third Kind take off.
I'm still on board with the show in general though.

Meh. Pretty predictable episode....almost boring.
I'm a fan of girls in bikinis but it seems they use them WAY too much. Like when Laura jumps into the ocean to fix the boat. Most would wear a wetsuit... but she wears a very revealing bikini. Nice to look at but not very practical.
I don't see this show going beyond it's initial season... but still I watch.

I didn't like the "encounters" this week. I like when they open and or close the ep with something that wows (like the monster coming up to eat that boat in 1x02 and the whirlpool of 1x03), but another solid episode.
Add another to the list of not really a fan of "crazy" brother.

As soon as I saw Big Tits walking up to the pool with her little rat dog I knew the dog was destined to become Nimrod chow!
I got caught up with this show thanks to the Sci-Fi channel. Surface has me hooked now! I hope they continue to have the teenage pool parties! Nothing like hot, young nubile teenage girls in bikinis! Thumbs up for finally getting Lake Bell into a bikini!
Take care all!!

I was mesmerized by that rack, and the episode wasn't too bad either.
