G4TV Strikes again with a new computer er gaming er comedy show? The Man Show reruns?

Just heard this on the Sirius Radio comedy station....

Oprahization
Episode #101
Jimmy and Adam strike back against the Oprahization of America, special appearance by Cindy Crawford.

I dunno, maybe it is just me, but the Man Show on a computer related station? I can understand the demographic may be similar, but the information is not... kind of weird eh?

On the G4 website, they interview Porn Star Ginger Lynn about the first episode and about The Man Show coming to G4TV...

Interview with a Porn Star

Man as I look over the g4tv.com site it is like a porn site! They have all sorts of pics of half naked and almost naked women in these "Photo Galleries"... geeze.

Hmm, what will all those Anime people think when they see a real woman!?!?!?

Anime doesn't have anything to do with tech either but it was on Techtv years before they even merged with G4. I do agree the new shows they've added in the past year are a little weird, but I think they're trying to make it acceptable for non-geeks to watch G4. It looks like they're trying to become a little like Spike. That programming doesn't really appeal to me, but I think they're actually doing a better job than Spike has.

Yeah, the "This Week in Tech" podcast said G4 is trying to be another SpikeTV and will be getting away from tech/gaming shows. Seems like the wrong direction to me.

Don't they play Fastlane reruns, as well?

Yes they do, and they just moved Call For Help to 9am eastern, they are really trying to kill this show. I don't even know why they picked it up.

This is another channel that has no where to go- They should of left it TechTV. Now they want to copy SpikeTV?- Why doesn't the channel just shut down once and for all!

I started watching Fastlane as I missed the Fox run and I think it's a pretty fun show, but it's obvious that they're going the Spike route. The thing is you can't really create a "man" channel. I mean you have ESPN which is of great interest to sports fans, many of whom are men, but a channel that runs Van Damme movies and "Bamm! Boom! Pow!" movies all the time just isn't that great an idea IMO. There is a lot more to a man's tastes than watching movies with explosions, y'know?

I see G4 phasing out the videogame aspect of the channel completely in 2-3 years. Maybe they'll keep one or two shows around. While the G4 shows are awful I do like that they show a lot of videogame footage which is better for scoping out games than still images, but I won't miss them.

As long as G4 keeps Attack of the Show they can show anything they want. I can see a name change for the channel eventually...or again....whatever.

I don't care at what time they air Call for Help as long as they keep doing so.
