Very powerful filmmmaking ineed, A few friends went off squid for a few week, but others stated that it's a reamarkable peice of work.

Still in awe of the hallway secquence.
Overall peromances were spot on . Didn't see the exact ending coming,so
iT worked for me, The technical achievents were first rate..
I thought the the music delivered all the right motifs.
I'' have to check it out againg, but for now....
5 stars.

You seem to be pretty slow on the uptake. So, if you're as lost as I suspect you will be regarding the direction your thought provoking thread has gone, I'll fill you in. The smartass comments that everybody's made in this thread are in reference to this, this, this, this, and this.

Son, perhaps you're a mite young to be producing much, um, "man-juice" as of yet - but if you think that bat-picture is a bit bukkake-ish, you sir, are sorely mistaken.

That'd be one pathetic bukkake, if it only produced the single chin-whip pictured above.

Re: "Oldboy"...see it now!

Just sublime filmmaking. They don’t make films like these...ever. This is just beyond an ordinary film. This is beyond normal, beyond comprehension how a genius like Park could put together a puzzle that is pieced together so fantastically, so disgustingly, so egregiously amazing. Beyond acting, just another level these Korean actors are on. They are guided by an auteur, a conductor of ingenious design. They are pawns in his hand and they take that hand and make ideas and words on a page come alive. Alive in such a way that grips you, entrances you, glues you to the edge and never lets you fall. You feel anger, thrill, eroticism, sadness, profoundness and perhaps if you see it, relief and a tinge of hope and happiness. This is not for the faint of heart. This is for those that love cinema. Loves story. Loves the fantastical and sick nature of human beings. By no means is this not fiction. This transcends the idea of vengeance and brings it to life in the greatest and most spectacularly original way. This is a film, a film for the ages and should be considered amongst the best of foreign and even domestic cinema. Nuf said.
