Metroid 2 on SP.

Will Metroid 2 play on a Game Boy SP? I just purchased one from EB Games and all that comes up is the Game Boy screen.

It will play just fine. Most likely the game contacts are dirty. Clean them with a Q-tip or in a pinch you can blow in them NES style.

Metroid 2 probably won't play on SP but it should play on the DS rainbow color...

DO NOT BLOW INTO THE CARTRIDGE unless you want to further ruin it.

Take a Q*tip with some isopropyl alcohol and scrub the contacts. Viola!

I have played Metroid II on my SP, and I also believe it activates the SuperGameboy color palate so you get more than the 4-shade greyscale.

I played this game obsessively when I was over in Spain on vacation a long time ago. It was so much fun with the Spiderball and everything else they put in there.

To be honest I thought this was a mediocre game. The first few hours were fun although it got tremendously repetitive. I guess there wasn't much you could do with the GB back then...

I liked the first Metroid a bit more than GB 2.
