Robots free at Fred Meyer (Kroger) with other purchases
I saw their ad in Sunday's paper but it wasn't very specific on how the deal works.
Looks like the deal is that if you buy a short list of selected products you get the Robots DVD for free.
Anybody been there today and know how it works?

Did a little research. You get free food when you buy Robots, not Robots when you buy food.
Purchase Robots for 19.95 w/ Plus Card and get free - Hunt's snack pack 4 pack; Kid Cuisine; Fudge Shoppe or EL Fudge Cookies; Pop Tarts 8Ct; and Peter Pan Peanut Butter 18 oz
Not bad if you have kids I guess. Not tempting enough for me.
P.S. - this refers to my local Kroger promotion. Guess it could be different elsewhere.

Hi!
I wanted to thank cardaway for the heads up on this deal - I never would have looked for the display if it hadn't been mentioned in this forum.
Here's the exact details:
Kroger had both the widescreen and full screen versions of Robots. They were priced at $24.99 - $5 with the Kroger card = $19.99.
I think you had to have the Kroger card to get the free food items as well. My Krogers had all 6 items mentioned by BOTH speedyray and eau in this thread. I added up the total of these 6 items at home, they amounted to $13.02.
SO, this is a nice deal, but Robots isn't really free, as cardaway suggests. 19.99 - 13.02 means that Kroger Card members are still paying 6.97 for the DVD. That's not bad though - I'll give the DVD to my nephew on his birthday next month.
Thanks again to the other posters.
