Best FPS on the Gamecube?
Just wondering what is the all-around best FPS on the Gamecube? Something that balances a good story, graphics, and all around fun to play...

Well, the best first person games are the Metroid Prime games. But I like Nintendo's label of first person adventure as the focus is more on exploration than shooting, you can't aim and move at the same time (other than using the auto lock on) etc.
For straight up first person shooters, some of the Medal of Honor and Timesplitters games have been reasonably well reviewed. I'd check www.gamerankings.com to find which are the best in the series.

My vote would probably go to TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. Great game, and is available on every system. That new game Geist got decent reviews, but I haven't played it.

GameFAQs has more 'players like you' reviews. heres a couple of the games:
Metroid Prime 2 (almost entirely 9s or 10s):

Timesplitters: Future Perfect (a lot of great praise):

Geist (not quite as good ratings):

If you haven't played Metroid Prime yet you should pick that up first, although it really isn't much of a FPS but it is first person.
If you are looking for a traditional FPS I would say Timesplitters 2 or 3.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes allowed for a first-person view which was not in the original MGS on PS1. Plus it was made the Silicon Knights of Eternal Darkness fame so it has tons of inside jokes/easter eggs. Played through it 6 times, same as RE 4. The first James Bond game was halfway decent-fun driving aspects. And yeah, if you haven't played a Metroid Prime game, catch up.

Even though it's multi-console, I really enjoyed "James Bond: Nightfire" for the GC. It worked really well with the controller and the driving sequences were fun as hell, on top of a good FPS engine.
