Futurama Season 1

Alright, i know this DVD set is mad old news, but i just got mine and the first disc is not damaged in any way, no scratches or anything, but it freezes up and has like tracers of characters' heads. Is this a known and usual defect or not? thanks for any help.

where exactly does it occur? I would be happy to double check against my copy. But first, have you tried it in a different DVD player?

I've watched my set multiple times, and I've never had a problem with any of my Futurama discs. Does it just freeze and stay that way? I had that problem with the last two Simpsons season sets on one or two of the discs, but the problem was only there when I played the DVDs on one of my DVD players, it was fine on other players.

Check it out on another player, and if it still screws up then exchange it if you can.

We just had the same problem at work. Guess we'll start watching on the PS2...
