Looks awesome, Rent and the the Producers a month later.

Maybe a title change to make it a little more obvious this is about the new musical, not the original, 30-year-old movie...

So is this a movie based on a play originally based on a movie?

It's not based on the play, it IS the play, they just filmed it and used better sets. But basically, yes. (Although I have to say, the stage version is WAY better than the original movie. I just thought it was too boring...)

Good idea.

Mods, anyway we could change this to The Producers MUSICAL instead of the title I put up?

Well, so many of those lines are verbatim from the original it's hard to tell the difference. Of course I'll see it, but not much in that trailer to suggest that it's a musical.

One worry : Will Farrell. Look, I love the guy but he's way over exposed (I think it's his fifth film of the year) and, frankly, he looks a little out of his league playing the wacky role forever defined by Kenneth Mars.
