It wasn't. But man you missed out on some cool Fire (and some Ice) moments. Even better we got to see Black Hawk! Also, the first episode was more important to the season story arc as it puts you in focus on the progressing Legion of doom build up.

Yep these were setup episodes for sure. Lex wants to be a god again, super bad guys join forces, GL & hawkgirls love will be tested.

They are going to have to pull off some major stuff to top last season.

Yeah, I'm not as disappointed with the first ep as other people. It looks like a set-up for a big arc (hopefully) of the LOD that will carried throughout the season. It's interesting to see the DC-comics version of Hawkman mixed in the Dini-universe Hawkgirl.

Glad my DVR was still set to record, so I didn't miss both! Thought the second was a repeat cause they were talking about the Hawkman last season, thought I missed it..good thing I didn't!

I liked the Legion of Doom episode, not so much with Hawkgirl. I thought this week and next week we got 4 total episodes, and then no more new ones until January '06.

I just pulled that off of TV.com, all the episodes after these 4 show 01/01/06. Not that that is anything to go by.

But, they stopped doing that 2 episodes back to back thing a while ago. Methinks this might be to burn off a few episodes and then bring it back next year. I could be totally wrong, though.

The fact that they moved the show to 10pm is not a good sign for a 3rd season.

I liked seeing the old Kartar Hol Hawkman although in the current comic continuity what proves to be true is probably false for this episode...Or is it?

Actually, it goes back to 9pm next Saturday. I think that content on "Shadow of the Hawk" was what brought both eps to 10pm, such as:

"I miss the dress." "You didn't miss it last night."
