Anyone else run into this? They had a couple dozen full screen copies but no widescreen DVDs today. The guy in the DVD dept said none of the three stores in our area received the WS version, and they haven't been given a reason why.
Trotted over to Circuit City instead. They had plenty.

Mine had plenty. (20th St and Camelback, Phoenix) Big floor standie with Fever Pitch on one side and Hitchhiker's on the other.
BTW - $13.99 price match to FRY's.

I've run into similar before. Sometimes they'll put stuff on sale and I'll go there and they will have no WS anywhere, but they have like three locations full of FS editions. It seems like they get about 3 WS copies and 600 FS copies. Circuit City here never seems to have the same trouble, though.

Plenty at my Best Buy. Also they had plenty of Fever Pitch WS and Boston Red Sox edition.

I went to my local BB and they said they didn't receive any WS copies in the area because of some shipping mixup, and that they'd be in within the next day or two. I went over to Circuit City, and was going to attempt a pricematch to BB since their price was $1 higher. They refused to PM unless I had the ad and it specifically stated "$16.99." So I left and drove over to Target, and they had plenty of copies of the WS version for $16.99. I did a little more driving, and probably ate up about a buck in gas, but I refuse to buy from a place when I know that somewhere else has it cheaper.

Hmm...interesting. I've never had this problem at all 5 area Best Buys. In fact, once a friend asked me to pick up a Full Screen copy of a movie (Shrek 2?) for her and I had a hard time finding one. Maybe it's a regional thing. Based on sales history for that store.

Yup, same at the local best buy. Funny thing was that Circuit City did not have any WS Crash last week.
