The stupidest things you've ever seen on a DVD cover!

I just went to WalMart and picked up a couple of DVDs from the $5.50 bin, one of which was I.Q. I've never seen it before and have held off for years, but I figured that at that price I couldn't go wrong. No special features are listed on the back of the DVD, but I figured there must be something on there, since it says in bold type on the back " SPECIAL FEATURES NOT RATED". I just got home, put it in the player, and it is as bare as can be!

I just looked up the DVDTalk review of it by DVD Savant, and he even comments on this saying "Supplements: none, but don't worry, they're not rated".

I just found this to be one of the stupidest things ever. Did they plan some special features for this DVD only to hold off on it at the last second, or is this just something they put on every DVD? If it's the latter, I've never noticed it until today.

So yeah, there is my pick, but I'm sure there are even more stupid things out there on DVD cases.

while i don't see it on the cover (or at least the one on dvdempire, the movies "thriller a cruel picture" says something like "Quintin Tarantino says its the roughest revenge movie ever made" and on the packaging for "good the bad and the ugly" it mentions that it is tarantinos favorite movie.

The Spanish Prisoner (back cover) and Phone Booth (front cover) both have spoilers in plain sight.

regarding phone booth
Spoiler:
is it really consitered a spoiler that Keifer Sutherland is the sniper when we see him, since he has a distinctive enough voice where you knew it was him as soon as you heard him

I'll trump all of the answers so far. A friend found a Korean bootleg of Catwoman at a flea market. You know how a lot of times you'll have a blurb from some review on the DVD case to help advertise it? Well, apparently the bootleggers thought that Roger Ebert's "TIRED AND DATED" was a good slogan for the case.

I think it would be the bootleg copy of one of the "Harry Potter" movies that had the description to "The Matrix" on it.

I never knew Mr. "I know Kung-fu" was in the Harry Potter flicks!

Something odd I found recently - on the back of the slipcase for "Lost" it proudly proclaims "The #1 best show". Huh?

Those words make me want to see it. Thanks Roger Ebert!

I have a copy of Shaolin Soccer that for a plot synopsis, it has the plot for Monkeybone instead of the plot for Shaolin Soccer.

My buddy, who was stationed in Iraq at the time, was looking through the bootlegs that a shopkeeper had for sale when he found a copy of The Passion of the Christ that the quote, "ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!" on it.

Spoiler:
The fact that Kiefer Sutherland appears in the film. Although his voice was used for the killer, there is a false ending in which someone else is revealed to be the killer. Sutherland shows up after that. If you know beforehand that Sutherland is going to appear in the film, then the false ending doesn't work.

"Fully Restored and Remastered" on dollar-store discs that are obviously really made from VHS masters complete with tape dropouts!
