Shows You're Dumping This Season

Any shows you watched last season that you're planning on dumping now before the new season starts?

For me, it's Joey that's getting dumped.

King of Queens. However, it isn't because I don't like it, just that both Arrested Development and Surface are on at the same time. I might start watching it again if Surface turns out to suck.

I dumped Smallville towards the end of last season. Also CSI: Miami and CSI: NY I bailed out on.

I am considering dropping Without a Trace as well. Not that it's a bad show, but I still have so many unwatched from last season and I just haven't been compelled to watch.

I dropped the Simpsons last season at some point as well. I just stopped laughing through most of it and found it tedious most of the time.

And I have decided to drop Extreme Makeover: Home Edition this season. I am just so sick of the manipulated sob stories and ridiculously tricked-out houses.

Sorry, Daily Show. It's not you, it's not me, it's my wallet. So basically, bye, cable.

The Apprentice - Trump's version.
I wasn't gonna watch S3, but the college vs. high school concept intrigued me. I started doing other chores while it was on in the background.

I may catch an episode of Martha's outta couriousity, but I doubt it.

How'd you pay attention with all that singing!

Given the rather dramatic changes I've been reading about for the upcoming season, I certainly won't be dropping Joey before giving it another chance.

Dropping (or dropped towards the end of last season):

Medium
Without A Trace
Cold Case
The Apprentice

Thinking about dropping:

Las Vegas
L&O: SVU
L&O
Alias
Survivor
24

There are still a few shows I would never give up, like Scrubs, King of Queens, Arrested Development, but there seems to be less and less every year.

Nice!

I watched Will & Grace only intermittently this past season, too much stunt casting. I probably won't be in a hurry to watch it this year.

As for 24, I just don't know if I have the energy to get involved with it again. Of course, I said that last season and ended up watching every episode.

I'll have to peruse the new schedule to see if there are any clashes. I think Veronica Mars and Lost are going head to head this season.

That's proving my point isn't it? I wasn't paying attention.

Anyways, I actually meant chores.

Dropping ALIAS from my regular viewing schedule. With its declining quality, and the fact that it is opposite Survivor and OC, it just didn't stand a chance. I will probably pick it up on dvd though.

I'm thinking about CSI: NY. Only because it's on the same time as Law and Order and Invasion. I could record it in SD on my other Tivo, but the first season really left me with an odd feeling about a CSI show.

Smallville is moving to Thursdays at 8pm...so the WB may dump it before the rest of us get a chance to.

Seriously, I think this is a ploy by the network to ASSURE the series doesn't continue beyond Season 5...I think they want the show off the air before SUPERMAN RETURNS comes out.

I've already dropped ER and West Wing during the previous season. I may Netflix West Wing some day to catch up, but I just can't get into it since Sorkin left.

I'm much more casual about Alias and L&O now... not dropping, but not 'must see TV' either. Either one of those could be casualties if I have any sort of time crunch this fall.

Smallville may be on the chopping block as well.

I became a casual viewer for the OC last season. If things don't improve, I'll be dropping the show.

With the casting changes for Las Vegas for this upcoming season (not for the better IMHO), I'm putting this show in a short leash too.

Alias and The Apprentice, there is already a log jam for me on Thursday with Smallville and Survivor so it looks like these are going bye bye.

I didn't watch Without a Trace w/ any regularity last season, and I am sure that will continue into this season (unless the show dramatically improves to its earlier form).

I'll probably drop Medium - I was getting bored w/ it after a couple of months last year.

I may drop CSI: LV if it doesn't improve. It just seems like each show is pretty much the same, and I'm not interested anymore. Same with Survivor.

And, as much as I loved the first two seasons, Las Vegas could get the boot too, if it starts sucking. I'm not liking the cast changes at all, but I'll give it a couple episodes before I pass judgment.

Last year I watched The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Family Guy, American Dad, Boston Legal, 24, The Shield, Bullshit!, Lost, Alias, South Park, Smallville, and Numb3rs. I'm dropping American Dad and Alias and I'm trying out the following new shows: The War at Home, Kitchen Confidential, Prison Break and Bones. I wish I had room for My Name is Earl, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs and a few other shows, but I can only watch so much TV in one week.

Ooooh, forgot about that one. I've been casually watching that. I'm not going to stick with it.
