Absolutely Love WANTED - Best Cop show

I love it, nothing too original but pulls no punches

and it has Chett from the old Weird Science TV show in it !

They are starting to develop the characters a bit which is cool but the chasing of the baddest of bad guys is still the central theme

Hmm I wanted to check this out but it must have slipped by me on basic cable (like starved and 30 days). Are there like mini marathons every weekend like just about every other cable show?

It is enjoyable. I like the actual criminal chasing better than the VERY cliche and uninteresting personal storylines, but I've still been watching every week so far. But when compared to quality programming like The Shield or Rescue Me, Wanted is pretty weak.

I liked the recent remake of Dragnet and although CSI does not really count as "Police" per se, that show too is my favourite law enforcement show.

It tries to be edgy and everything suffers because of it.

Nowhere near as good as The Wire and Shield. Or Touching Evil, UK, or Dalziel and Pacoe, or Hill Street Blues, hell, amost anything.

Yeah I have felt that since the first 5 minutes of episode one. It is trying WAY too hard. Like "Hey look at us over here on TNT! We're violent! We've got catchy dialogue! Our characters have issues!!!"

And I still like it.

I watched the first few episodes (mostly to support Lee Tergesen) but it just didn't hook me the way the Shield did.
