THere was a news report on the local station today that showed how kids anywhere from 6 to 11 were going apeshit for poker. I hadn't heard this or seen this before. I always thought it was chic for the teens, with home games and such. But kids? Under 10? Replacing pokemon? Seems pretty crazy.
yeah its going to suck when the average person grows up with an understanding of basic strategy.

I was at a party for the child of a friend of my gf's. There was this kid, probably in 4th grade that knew how to play 5 card draw. He was pretty good, too.

Pff - I knew how to play 5-card draw in 4th grade as well - a lot sooner than that. And that was 20 years ago.
I'm glad that kids are learning draw poker. It would be a shame if they got the bad impression that holdem is the only game (like too many early-20-somethings).
