Venom

I saw a quick preview of this film on tv last night but can't seem to find the trailer online anywhere???

This flick looks pretty decent, believe it or not I THINK it's not a remake and from the preview I saw it looked pretty damn dark. a little more info can be found here:

Venom

The film deals with voodoo and unfortunately involves the dude who directed 'I know what you did last summer' but still, from what I saw, it looked pretty good but we'll see.

Yeah, it's kind of weird they wouldn't have trailers posted if they're showing commercials for it on TV. Maybe it's because of the fact there's already another movie called "Venom" that owns the website venomthemovie.com. Who knows.

Dimension Films hasn't released a trailer, yet they are releasing the film in about 2 weeks, and are doing tv spots. The movie was known as "Backwater", and the the title changed to "The Reaper"...and then only about a month ago they changed it to "Venom". And now it seems they're dumping it in theaters.

But then again, this is Dimension, so who knows, maybe they'll yank the movie from it's date only to change the date again 6 times over the next 2 years and then let it die in a limited release.

Good news - here's the link to the trailer that is now up at apple:

Venom trailer

Bad news - it's rated PG-13 (I know, I know, it's not the end of the world) and was that method man dressed as a cop?

Ok, what is the real rating? The trailer has an "R" tag on it, but the quicktime site says PG-13.

I've seen TV trailers for it the past few days. I'm pretty sure it is rated R.

I saw the commercial last night and it had an R rating and yes, Method Man is in it.

So they changed the title three times and the best they could come up with was Venom? The first two sound like better choices to me. But maybe once I see it it'll all make sense.

Interesting trailer. I have not seen the tv spot yet but so far it looks like something I will either see in the theater or buy later.
