If Iguchi continues to be a butcher at 2nd Ozzie needs to think about a defensive replacement late in games. His defense has sucked the 2nd half of the season.

Another nice start for B-Mac. Ozzie should go to a 6 man rotation or just replace El Duque with him in the rotation. I wonder if Florida would trade AJ Burnett for him now:)
Brandon has given up no runs in his last two starts - 14.2 innings against very good hitting teams. Hard to believe it's the same guy from earlier in the season.

White Sox have given up no earned runs in their last two games. The starting pitching has been great lately. With Podsednik back this looks like the team we saw before the all-star break. El Duque does seem to be the weak link.

anybody watching Cubs/Cards.... Michael Wuertz just made one of the most impressive diving catches i've ever seen from a pitcher. ball was a popped up bunt half way between the mound and the 3rd base foul line, and Wuertz falls off on the 1st base side recovers runs over and lays out for the grap.

Yeah, I made a similar post in the game thread at a Cubs message board (that has a ton of Cardinals fans (because honestly it's one of the best baseball message boards out there, most Cardinals fans that post there say it is better than any Cards board)) I clarified my statement with

I've never been to busch so my experience is only what I see on tv, obviously slanted and biased. But in my experiences at Wrigley the Cubs fan does not take themselves nearlly as seriously as a Cards fan. A Cubs fan is their to enjoy the game, enjoy the atmosphere and maybe get drunk. Another thing I've noticed (maybe swayed by the losing ways this year) is the Cubs get heckled more than the opposing team, going back with my not taking themselves as seriously statement.

Oh and way to go Cubs for almost making the Edmonds home run meaningfull and made my post even more idiotic :). But good ol' Johnny B. couldn't let a rookie hit with the bases loaded and no outs, so he had to go to shitty veteran.
